Met By Chance

The day started like any other, I Raven Danielle, a slightly anti-social girl with dark hair and light eyes and a wit to match, was out with some friends at a local park, just sitting there on our phones mostly, nothing extremely fun or interesting, when we noticed another group. My friends didn't seem that interested in them but they were laughing and having fun, which was more than I could say for me and my group at that said time. So I approached them and introduced myself to them, smiling up at most of them due to my short stature, the group had I'd say about four to six people. This one taller male really stuck out like sore thumb, at nearly six foot, he was the only one with peircings and a chick hanging off his muscular arm, the male was about twice my size in every aspect, but definitely well proportioned. He seemed to enjoy being with her, or maybe just the group, I wasn't sure.

Most of them smiled and gave their names aswell, there was, Kita a tall slender male with bright eyes and messy brown hair who was dating a shorter girl with a high pitched voice and short blonde hair, her big eyes matching her perky sense of being named Silver. Deka was the beautiful girl with wavy auburn hair and peircing red eyes to match, hanging off the guy named ironically, Cactus who was the tall male with muscles and long hair tied back in a low ponytail, the lower half of his hair was shorter which made him look very intimidating aswell as nice to look at. A few of the others just went by nicknames given by the group like a smaller boy with a wider build and long-ish brown hair with eyes to match, probably about twelve went by Sans.

I left my group of friends without further regard and spent the whole day laughing and talking to that group full of odd people, each one very different from the first. A few of them exchanged numbers with me, including Cactus, his girlfriend didn't seem too pleased but didn't say anything in objection, she gave me hers aswell, I'd assumed to threaten me if I got too close. We all agreed to meet up again tomorrow, I already felt like I belonged there so I couldn't wait, I went straight home, took a shower, then went on to bed.

I stayed up for a few hours texting the group chat that had been made by Silver, which she added me to. Even in text the couples were all lovey dovey and sweet, as a loner it kind of made me sick, but at the same time i was happy for them and thought they made cute couples. Eventually we all fell asleep, when I woke up it was around eight in the morning, I groaned and rolled out of bed still feeling groggy.

I went to the kitchen and cracked open a soda, chugging it, it was enough to wake me up so I could function properly. My family wasn't up yet so I made coffee for my grandmother knowing she would be up in a few hours, after doing so I went back to my room to get dressed for the day. I had to work on my novel before I went out, it wasn't a very good one I don't believe, but my friend and editor Lock seemed to like it and so did a few others. After writing the third chapter I went out, grabbing my keys as I left, it was a warm day in April so I didn't have a jacket on me, plus even if it did rain I wouldn't mind.

The rain was one of my favorite things, it always had been, to feel it made me smile, it was like love in a lot of ways. Sometimes it was cold and unforgiving, other times warm and full of children splashing in puddles. I walked to the park and spent the next four hours on my own drawing in a tree until my new group started to arrive, I hung upside down and greeted them. a few laughed at this and Silver seemed worried I might fall, I grabbed the branch with my hands after tossing my things onto the ground and swung onto the ground myself. I saw a small smirk appear on Cactus's face and asked him what he was smirking about. His only response was that he didn't think I would be able to get down on my own, and called me short. This annoyed me slightly so I stuck my tongue out at him after squaring my shoulders. Causing the group to laugh yet again, it made me smile to hear laughter because I did something funny instead of because I embarrassed myself like I did with my so called, friends I was with when I met the group I planned to spend that day with. I wanted this to be MY group, I never wanted to leave.
