My Promise

Athena POV

I woke up the next morning and it was about nine thirty am. I decided to get in the shower and have breakfast sent to our room. After a rough night of sleeping I felt I needed a shower to scrub the night away.

I hopped in the shower and began to absorb the water as I began to sing. How no one heard me was beyond me, but I didn't care. As soon as I got done I dried off and made my way to the bedroom. Just as I was getting ready to make my way to the closet, I was surprised to see Adam still in our room getting ready. He had just put his pants on, but didn't have them buttoned up yet.

When he had turned around and saw me in nothing but a towel I just smiled at him, but he looked away.

" Oh I am so sorry Athena... um your clothes I put them up for you. I hope I put them away." Alpha Adam said as he covered his face.

That kind of hurt me and made my wolf upset. I was starting to feel her even more so than I usually felt her. He pointed to our closet and looked down at the ground. I didn't know if it was because we were not mated and marked yet or not, but I didn't want to wait to find out. Still in a towel I walked up to him and hugged him around the waist. I wanted him to feel comfortable with me.

He just stood there and I was unsure how to feel. I looked up at him with worry in my eyes. He looked down at me and gently brushed his hand across my shoulder sending electricity through my body. He softly cradled my face in his hand. "Honey I know this is all new for the both of us, but I made a promise to love you and stand by you. I want you to be happy and I feel and see you're not happy.

I wasn't trying to hurt you when I looked away with you in the towel. I just wanted to be polite and give you privacy to get around and ready. I want you to feel comfortable." replied Adam. " Adam you became Alpha of this pack so suddenly and I lost my pack suddenly. I am not going anywhere. I would die first before leaving you. That is my promise. You can look at me. I am your mate, your Luna, your wife. I want us to have Children, and to have fun, to be comfortable with each other." Athena said boldly.

With all the passion in the world all I felt was his lips crash against mine hard. His kiss sent a passionate wave of energy through my body, I felt like I was on fire as he tenderly yet passionately kissed me, and nipped a little on my neck. It took everything not to melt or moan in pleasure.

Once He hit my caller bone I couldn't help but moan as he kissed me and nipped at me. Just as stood up on my tip toes to put my arms around him for more passionate kisses he pulled away.

Both of us breathless, still in a towel naked as ever. He had an expression I did not like. I was worried, because Adam seemed to have a pretty calm demeanor. After a few moments he pulled me close and gave me a kiss.

"Honey I am sorry to do this to you, but I have to go. An important matter has come up. I have to go deal with it now. You are not officially my luna yet until we mate and mark each other, so it's ok to stay here in the room, or go to your dad's room three doors down.I don't want you to be alone at all." Adam said.

I couldn't help but question. What's going on? Did I do something wrong?Am I being a bad mate, what did I do? Tears began pouring down my face as I asked all these questions. I couldn't live with myself if I was being a bad mate. He walked back over to me and pulled me in for a warm embrace. Kissed me on the head, and looked at me with love, compassion, and furry in his eyes.

"Athena please listen to me. I love you, and you have done nothing wrong. We had a visit from Thorn early yesterday morning and he is here now again. He is planning to take you away from me. I have not mated and marked you yet because I'm worried it could kill our wolves if he takes you. I want to take our time and I want you to be comfortable here before you and I decide anything together. I love you and when Thorn came back again I just knew he was not going to let you go. I am going to deal with him now. I want you to stay here. My Beta and my Gamma will be here soon. I love you, I don't want you to be hurt." Adam said as he sighed.

He hugged me one last time and I heard him whisper" go look in our closet I have a surprise in their for you."

As soon as he let go of me I ran to the closet with a smile...I saw my dresser their. Just as I was about to ask him how my dresser that once was my mothers was brought here, when I heard the door shut. I decided to get dressed and explore the closet. He had organized all my stuff and did it right. There was no way he could have known unless he could feel how I am through our mate bond.

I sat on the edge of our bed brushing my hair and then braiding it when I suddenly got a feeling something was off. I had no idea what but I was about to find out. I opened the bedroom door and saw Adams Beta out side. He bowed down," what may I help you with Mrs. Athena?"

I'm not sure. I just need to see Adam. and know he is ok. Something feels off and I am not sure what. Suddenly I felt blood running down my arm. Everything started to get blurry and I felt woozy. Before I knew it I was engulfed in darkness. Surrounded by a strong pair of arms followed by a shout of someone saying get the doctor now!
