Chapter 01 - Meeting The Butterfly
It was lunch and Fuutarou was ordering his lunch. He got a fried chicken with tartar sauce, potato salad, rice, miso with gluten dumplings and milk. You got to admit, it is a great meal, a little bit of greasy chicken countered with complementary healthy side dish and then gluten dumplings nudges it to the top.
Overall, Fuutarou would rate it 9 out of 10. It was also the lunch of the day. One of Fuutarou's favorite meal. After getting his food, he walked around to find a seat. He then heard his name being called and faced the direction where the voice came from.
"Hey Fuutarou-kun! Over here!" A girl from a group of four called him and invited him to their table.
"No! Sit here, Uesugi-san!" Another girl from a different group called him.
Fuutarou shook his head at this scene. During lunch, It's always like this. Fuutarou is famous at school. He was famous for helping students on the subjects they have difficulty at and being the most intelligent student. Most of them are girls. That's why it wasn't surprising that the female students at Asahiyama High School are attracted to both his looks and kindness.
Speaking of looks, Fuutarou's appearance is similar to his father's. As a result, many girls have confessed to Fuutarou.
Fuutarou enjoyed talking to them, but today, he wanted some peace. He looked around for an empty table and saw one, but another student was already sitting at it. It was a girl. The girl had waist-length hair with square bangs hanging over her eyebrows. Her hair was reddish pink, and she wore twin butterfly-shaped ribbons on both sides of her head. She wore a sailor fuku(Seifuku) consisting of a black blouse, white collar, white skirt, black knee-high socks, and black shoes.
Her uniform was different from the other students, and Fuutarou concluded that she was a transfer student. She was also eating by herself. Fuutarou approached her and asked if he could sit at the same table as her.
"Is this seat taken?" Fuutarou looked at the chair he had been referring to.
"No, it isn-" The girl stiffened when she saw Fuutarou.
"Uhh, miss?" Fuutarou asked.
"Fu... Fuu-kun?" The girl said.
"How do you kno- wait, is that you, Nino?" Fuutarou was shocked when he heard the name "Fuu-kun," which Nino had called him in the past.
"Yes Fuu-kun, it's me," The girl, now named Nino, smiled beautifully at Fuutarou.
"Woah, it's been a while!" Fuutarou sat down and placed his tray on the table. He continued, "How have you been lately?"
"I'm doing great!" Nino said as she smiled, but Fuutarou could see a hint of sadness in her smile.
"Nino, what's wrong?" Fuutarou was concerned and asked.
"I'm fine but... Something did happened," Nino said sadly.
"Does this have anything to do with your transferring here?"
Nino only nodded in reply. Fuutarou grabbed her hand, which was resting on the table, and comforted her.
"If you have any problems, I am here and ready to listen."
"Thanks, Fuu-kun," Nino beamed brightly.
After their chat, the two started eating. After eating, he suddenly received a message from Raiha. He read the message containing "Are you eating alone again? Call me.". He excused himself and went to the restroom. Nino appeared slightly sad, but she still nodded in agreement. Fuutarou thanked Nino and left.

"He did?"
-Why do you sound like you doubt dad? Well it turns out that the family just move here recently and is looking for a tutor for their daughters. And they said that they would pay 5 times as much. You can now earn extra while working that job too.-
"That's great Raiha."
-Well, you could always sell one of your kidneys. I've heard that some people still live with just one.-
"R-Raiha?"
-Just kidding!-
"Don't scare me like that... Do you know their name?"
-Dad said it's Nakano, and she'll be transferring to your school,-
"I see, thank you, Raiha—
*The bell rang*
—It seems that I need to go back to class, bye Raiha"
-Bye, Onii-chan!-

"My name is Nakano Itsuki, nice to meet you and please take care of me," The girl named Itsuki introduced herself to the whole class.
"Wow she's so cute!"
"Look at her uniform! Isn't it the Black Rose uniform?"
"Oh she must be from a rich family then!"
"Everyone, please calm down. Miss Nakano, please take a seat wherever you find one available." The teacher said to Itsuki.
"Hai," Itsuki went to the chair next to Fuutarou.
"Hello, I'm Uesugi Fuutarou. Nice to meet you, Nakano-san," Fuutarou introduced himself to Itsuki, who then did the same.
"It's nice to meet you as well, Uesugi-san."
After introducing themselves, the class began. While listening to the lectures, Fuutarou noticed that Itsuki was having difficulty with the lectures. He wrote some notes and passed them to her. She looked at him, then at the paper, and thanked him. He did the same for the other subjects.

The classes ended, and Itsuki was about to say goodbye when Fuutarou asked her for a quick study session at the library, which she gladly accepted. The two went to the library and began the study session. They took a break, during which Itsuki complained about her father hiring tutors for her and her sisters. Fuutarou then confessed that he had been one of those tutors, surprising Itsuki. Eventually, it was time to leave. Fuutarou and Itsuki gathered their belongings and departed.
Fuutaro and Itsuki walked together to Itsuki's home. When they arrived near, they were greeted by Itsuki's sisters, who had been waiting for her.

"Where were you?!" Ichika scolded Itsuki.
"We were so worried!" Nino exclaimed.
"You weren't answering our calls." Miku said.
"Who is this guy with you, Itsuki?" Yotsuba Asked.
"Nino?"
"Eh? Fuu-kun? Why are you here?" Nino, who was shocked, asked.
"Do you know each other?" Itsuki asked.
Fuutaro and Nino both pointed at each other and spoke at the same time, "She's my childhood friend," , "He's my childhood friend."
" " " "Ehhh!?" " " " Ichika, Miku, Yotsuba and Itsuki exclaimed.

Surprised by how the first chapter of Volume 2 turned out? I said it before, a different volume is like a game route.
Notice how Fuutarou met someone else than Itsuki at the cafeteria? I changed it. But there are some things that I can't just change.
Also, we reached 50k views on Webnovel. Yay! I would like to thank everyone who read and gave the story a try. Three months have already passed since I made the first chapter, February 11 2023.
I realized that 1 mil was too much, so I changed it to 100k. 50k is half of my goal. Great progress, I guess! I just rechecked, it's now 54k.
