" Uh? Where is she!!? Just... Just how could she disappear!"
" No. No this can't be! I--I was so close... "

A man screamed at the top of his lungs.
He appeared to be in his mid 40's. With a short bushy, slightly greying beard and a pair of spectacles, he had the appearance of a dignified scholar. He looked neat and proper, donning a white stripped shirt and brown trousers.
At a first glance one would deduce him to be a gentle and easy going person. However, It was only upon a closer inspection, you could notice a faint yellowish scar stretched across the bridge of his nose, decently hidden beneath the black round rimmed eyeglasses which toned down his over all look. Yet he still was able to carry his scholarly self well and good.
Unfortunately, the crazed look flashing within his eyes at the moment had highlighted the deftly covered up, indiscernible scar, making him look more like a lunatic instead of the regularly seen scholarly demeanor.
He looked very much like a sadist at present with a vicious aura leaking out of him.
He clutched on to his hair with both of his hands, yelling out profanities out of frustration. His pair of bloodthirsty eyes looking around frantically like a ferocious beast, seeking for it's prey.
HE WANTED TO FIND HER AT ANY COST!!!

After a century long wait, he had finally found what he wanted. He wasn't going to loose her so easily. Well, how could he when she was the last straw of his hope.
Only her!
He only needed her and all will be well. He will then be able to gain immortality once again. He will then become the most powerful under the heavens, heh!
He had been very attentive in his pursuit!
He did all that was needed to keep his prey from escaping, monitoring her continuously.

Airi opened her drowsy eyelids and peered up at her surroundings. A tall hazy figure appeared before her eyes in a kneeling position. She blinked her eyes a couple of times to clear out her blurred view.
What greeted her was a familiar pair of purple eyes staring at her anxiously!
Why was it that every time I opened my eyes it was always this face that had to come into my view?

Airi wasn't that much surprised this time but her face did contort in displeasure for this kind of view had already become a normal occurrence these past few days.
Groaning in pain, she tried sitting up when she found herself already lying within a pair of arms supporting her posture. He held her gently so as not to hurt her.
Airi found the embrace adversely comfortable.
She looked up at him with a pale face and frowning brows. Her body had tired itself out from exhaustion, both mentally and physically...
Her mind had long gone numb preventing her from further using it.
So you have abandoned me as well? Well thank you so much brain!

She had an unfocused expression on her face along with a detached pair eyes which showed off her helplessness.
She didn't struggle to get free from his arms this time, rather sunk herself into them seeking comfort.
Airi stared at his face listlessly. She had so much to say but at the same time didn't know what was that which was needed to be spoken about!
Involuntarily, she leaned into his embrace hugging him intimately with her pair of trembling arms. All through out, her eyes never left his face. Her pair of colorless lips moved several times but her words came out incoherently.
After several more attempts she finally was able to produce a couple of words in a broken voice.
" D--Do I know yo--you...?"
The other party was stunned silly from seeing his beloved cozying up to him for the very first time and thus was left speechless!

Fireworks blew up inside his head and he kept on fidgeting his fingers unthinkingly.

Airi was left feeling confused as she stared at him acting in such a bashful manner.

He was feeling both ecstatic and in antsy. Though he missed out on the words she spoke to him yet he still was capable enough to somehow rewind the time a few moments back to learn about it. It took him just a mere couple of seconds to do that. He then nervously answered her.
" M--maybe...?"
" ... "

" Are you..feeling...good? Your head...Does it hurt? Is it painful? Ah... your face looks so pale! Why is it so pale? What do I do? Do you want some water? I mean... It sounds hoarse.. Ah!? ...Did- did.... I frighten you again...? I--I'm so sorry!... "

Airi helplessly giggled at his consistent blabbering. She didn't know if even getting annoyed will be worthwhile or not!
Sigh...
" I'm fine...! You can stop with your nonsense!"
Airi just couldn't take his twaddle any longer.
Anymore and she would suffer another headache!

Airi felt that if she wants to get her queries sort out she would need to maintain her patience whilst keeping her ears wider and her mouth narrower.
