Second chance

"Young miss, young miss," a voice cried out, "wake up, it's time to get dressed."

The voice keeps disturbing her precious sleep, she opens her eyes as she looks up.

"Oh goodness, why the light?" She removes the quilt and sits up.

"Finally, young miss, you're awake," a young girl about her early 20's dressed in a maids dress smiled.

"Where am I? Is this the afterlife?" The Lady who just woke up asked.

"Afterlife? Young miss what are you talking about? You have been sick ever since," The maid asked looking confused, "did you forget," she paused, "no way, by any chance can you remember me? Can you remember your name?" She asked, looking scared.

The Lady frowns, "what the hell are you talking about, of course I know you, Anna, and I'm Belly, so don't be scared." She sighed.

She stands up walking straight to the standing mirror, she gasped, "oh my goodness," she touched her face

"I look much younger, did I travel back in time," she smiles as something clicks in her mind, "second chance"

"Young miss, did the sickness affect you that badly," Anna asked as tears rolled down her eyes.

Belly turns, "Why are you crying," she coaxes her maid, her favorite though.

Her past life, Anna was always there for her, when her stepmom always maltreated her once her father traveled. Though she doesn't want to put too much trust, she can't trust anyone at this moment, so she needs to make sure that Anna is on her side.

"Young miss, your father and his wife are on their way, together with the woman's daughter," Anna bows as she places the clothes on the bed.

Belly laughs, "I'll be in the bathroom, do not disturb me even if they are here, I'll come down as I please." She leaves.

Anna bows, "take your time,miss." She leaves the room.

Outside the building, the gate automatically opens after confirming the cars that are about to come in.

Two cars drove past the fountain and stood in front of the door. The building is big, a storey building to be precise but wilder just like a mansion. It is called the Deer Wood.

A man dressed in black steps out as he opens the door.

Mr. Anthony Davis steps out with his wife, Mrs. Patricia Davis.

While another man also dressed in black opens the door to the second car and Bella steps out, she looks around and sighs, "she sure lives in a comfy place,"

Anna was already at the door waiting for them to arrive, she led them inside straight to the dining room.

"Where are all the maids, she didn't really fire all of them did she?"

"Young Miss dismissed all of them when she was sick." Anna bows,

"Why will my sister do that?" Bella asked looking confused, but this time Anna didn't bother answering and just bowed before leaving.

Bella smiled as she clenched her first, before pulling a seat for herself.

Anna comes in shortly with the cook as they serve the dishes.

"Where is she?" Mr. Davis asked.

"She is preparing to meet you, young master." Anna replied.

"Still preparing? She is supposed to receive us at the front door, not wait for her in the dining room. Go and get her." Mr. Davis commands.

Anna bows again, "I'm sorry that can't be done young master, the young miss said to not be disturbed, she will get down shortly, like I said she is preparing to meet with you."

Anna can't leave the room, in fact she is not supposed to leave the room when the food has already been served, who knows what this woman referring to the wife to again.

Anna has always believed that she had a hand in what happened to the young miss before.

"Hope I'm not late?" A voice interrupts both the already tense room and Anna's thoughts.
