3. Friendly fight

Vivian stayed in Gavins office for the past few hours, without attending her lessons. It was so boring, there wasn't much to do other than just sit there in place and write the 100 lines that he gave her as her 'punishment'.

"Don't you think I should be attending my lessons instead of just staying here and writing the lines for you?" She complained, putting down the pen on the table and stretched out her arms in the air. She was nearly done, well at least she thinks so...

"Have you finished?"

She looked down at her paper and started counting, how many lines she already wrote, "I left 20 more lines..."

"Then continue till your finished." Gavin stared at her as she looked at him with a broken smile. 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒅...

Vivian puffed her cheeks out, sitting back down and started writing the last 20 lines. She could feel his intense eyes staring at her from a few centimetres away from her, at his seat. 𝑪𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒆, 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒂 𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕...

When she finished her last line, she heaved out a sigh and smiled at the work she just went through. She directed her fingers, lifting up the paper and placed it on his table.

"Now I'll be going...finally. I'll see you next time but not in your office like this again, Gavin~!" She stated out, waving to him before leaving his office. She walked down the hallways, taking out a lollipop from her pocket and placed it in her mouth.

"What a interesting bunny..."

When she got back to her dorm, Jennie was standing by the living room in her training clothes. 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈~

She noticed Vivian standing by the doorway, looking at her, "Where have you been Vivi? You've been gone since morning!"

"It's nothing much..."

"How is that relevant?" Jennie stopped what she was doing and stared at her friend who gave a answer which didn't seem to be the answer she wanted. Vivian stood still for a while, taking out her lollipop from her mouth.

"Jen, Let's have a friendly battle."

"Sure? I mean I've been practising my skills so be ready!" Jennie agreed to it with no hesitation in her voice, she was confident. It's not like they haven't battled each other before, the winner is always uncertain but it has never changed.

Without any more words being said, Jennie striked first with a big green light ball, appearing on her hands. It flew towards Vivian but she ducked and avoided it.

"Don't damage the school properties again Jennie..."

"Oh trust me, I won't." The fight began, Vivian dodged all of Jennies attacks with a sudden swift movement.

She teleported behind her and exerted a small gust of wind, pushing Jennie to the ground before teleporting away, out of the school since they weren't suppose to have fights in the dorms except for the training lab.

Jennie walked out of the school instead since she couldn't teleport like Vivian, she didn't have that kind of power to do so.

When Jennie got to the spot where she knew Vivian would be at, they continued their fight. She grew out vines from the ground and one of it got a hold of Vivian but she teleported out of the vines grasp.

She gave a good amount of wind, blowing Jennie up into the sky as the storm took her. Vivian flew into the air and dived straight down on Jennie, causing a big thud to the ground.

Jennie was below Vivian as she sat on top of her, they stayed in that position for a little while before she got up of Jennie.

"That's the first time I think I've won~" Vivian cooed at Jennie who was still lying down on the floor, not responding. 𝑰𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒅...?

"Jennie are you okay?"

"Does it look like I'm okay...?"

"Then can you stand up?" Jennie tried standing up but she fell back down immediately, groaning. 𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝑰 𝒉𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅?

"I don't think I can...my back hurts." Vivian raised an eyebrow at Jennie, there was no way she could have injured her with that small blow...she has never lost when they fought. The same thing happened back there but...different...

She held Jennie's hand and helped her up before teleporting both of them back to their dorm. She set Jennie gently onto the couch and sat down behind her.

She started doing healing spell, to help ease Jennie's back ache. It was a small kind of healing magic, that Vivian has known how to use since young, it was helpful when things happen to her.

"Does it hurt?"

"No it doesn't, it feels like I'm getting a good massage here!" Jennie sarcastically replied, wincing at the pain as the magic rubbed her aching spot. It felt weird, so weird, Vivian was in a daze.

"There, the pain should be gone tomorrow or a while later, you just rest and I'm sorry~"

"You better be." Jennie joked, laughing but later held her back in pain. She laid back on the sofa and stared at Vivian who was also staring back at her.

"Oh about the changing of room mates, when the students heard of it, they weren't at all happy about it But nothing can be done to change it."

"Do you want to change room mates?"

"Of course not! I'd want to stay with you."

"When are we changing room mates?" Vivian asked, wanting to know when are they gonna officially change their room mates. Jennie thought for a while, seemingly looking like she couldn't remember when.

"We still have 11 more day If I'm sure."

"Hmm..." She hummed in response, 𝒎𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒊 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒖𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔, 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚...

Out of the blue, Jennie started blabbering gibberish words that Vivian couldn't understand.

"No one would understand you Jen...is that why you don't have much friends either?"

"WHAT?! Y-YOU!"

"Well, I'll go take a walk outside, I'll be back before night down." Both Jennie's mouth and eyes were still widened, staring at her with visible shock written all over her face.

"Vivi wait!"

"Hmmm?"

"We have a test tomorrow, don't forget."

"What test?" She looked at Vivian with a 'are you kidding me face', sighing.

"It's the test where we test for our power levels again and the strength of it..." Vivian raised her eyebrow in confusion as she stared at Jennie with a clueless face. Seconds later, she nodded her head and got what she meant.

"Oh, okay~ Have a good rest and I'll be going~!" Without any seconds wasted, she walked out the dorm without saying anything back to Jennie, she stood by the sofa as the door closed.

"Ugh...I think I better just stay sitting on the sofa..."

Vivian went to a nearby park and walked down the path under the trees. There was a long blueish clear river stream that leaded down to some where.

It leads down into the so called deep forest and there lies a beautiful, shiny and clean waterfall that is behind all those tall looking trees.

People don't often go into the deep forest unless they are brave enough. They even said that there is a mysterious creature that protects the forest from danger and harm but no one has seen it before so it became a rumor in the town.

There was once in the past where some kids entered the deep forest for exploring, they never came back...they went missing or maybe they're dead, nobody knows.

Some parents filed missing reports of their child who went into the forest foolishly, to the police but they couldn't do anything, they didn't even try...

Nobody knows what or how the creature looks like, it's just a mystery, no one ever stepped close to the forest, not even looking at it...

Vivians eyes lit up when she saw something that caught her attention from a distance. She ran towards it and bent down, petting the puppy she saw.

The puppy pounced into her arms, wagging it's tail happily, seeing a puppy, in the middle of nowhere is a rare sight to encounter...it looked like it was only a few months old.

"Awww~ what are you doing here cutie~? Are you lost, where's your owner?" She asked, playing with the puppy. She picked it up and looked around, trying to see if anyone is looking for a lost puppy.

𝑰𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒏𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒆𝒕, 𝒐𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈~ She looked at the puppy and used her magic, that gave her the gender of the puppy, which was a boy and that was all it gave her.

She looked around one last time, making sure that the puppy didn't belong to anyone so she wouldn't mistakenly take a puppy home that had a owner.

At the corner of Vivians eyes, she saw something, which looked like a shadow of a persons silhouette, in the mids of the forest she saw. 𝑰𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏...?

Though the river end was in sight along with the forest, she held the puppy close to her and turned around. With a blink of her eyes, the shadow vanished into thin air. 𝑰'𝒎 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔...

"Come on, I'll take you home later. Let's go for a walk hmmm~?" The puppy licked Vivian's face, she took the puppy in her arms and continued walking the opposite direction down the park.
