Survival

Nobody ever told me,

Nobody ever said to me:

The darkest part of the tunnel

Remains closer to the 'light at the end.

Nobody ever told me,

Nobody ever said clearly to me:

The last metres' is the lion's share.

Nobody ever told us to become lions

And lioness.

Nobody ever told me,

Nobody ever asked me to be a survivor.

I am a destiny child;

Destined to survive.

All I seek is something

Above me,

Above survival.
