The psychopath named Dan

Dan grew up in a small village with orcs,half-orcs,ogres,giants and trolls. Day after day Dan would get in fights against students to test his strength. sometimes he won sometimes he lost. With his strength hitting a plateau Dan grew more and more apathetic until he felt no emotion. This all changed after receiving a system that allowed him to grow stronger without hitting a plateau. With this newly discovered power he drops out of school and travels the world with his friend who wants to kill the summoned heroes. Listen I'm not going to lie, there is a shit ton of grammatical error in the beginning. I started writing this book for fun with zero experience but I started taking it more seriously. By book 2 everything is sorted out. That includes the messed up power system, the cheat system, the characters and the grammar. I hope you can get through the beginning. During the Elf Folulheim arc, that is when the true nature of the MC begins to show as a physchopath who only wants to cause problems and death. Also side note MC is very racist towards elfs. He hates them and goes out of his way to kill them if he sees them. Also there will be a lot of disturbing things in this story. Also I'm not gonna lie, the first volume and half of the second volume is trash. I wrote them when I was inexperienced. It is unbearable and terrible but if you somehow managed to get through that then I promise I will do my best to deliver quality writing to you.

Haider(1)

Charlie walked forward slowly retracting his wings in. "Hello," he said.

Haider did not reply. The only thing he did was stare in silence at the shady man who walked from the behind the dumpster and acted like nothing happened.

"Well, that is rude, you called for me and yet you are not speaking, could it be that you are mute?"

"I am not mute."

"Thank goodness you aren't, I have a question how did you find my mana signature although I had it thinned out to the point where not even monsters can detect me."

"It was really hard to notice but I managed to by luck. Since I answered your questions then it is only fair that you answer my questions." Haider said. His voice contained hints of aggression and Charlie picked up on it. "Very well, what are your questions?"

"Question number one, are you in any way related to these low life scum?"

"No I am not,"

"Question number two, who are you and what are you doing hiding behind the dumpster?"

"Who I am does not matter and the reason I was hiding behind the dumpster does not matter to you."

"Final question," Haider's eye grew cold within a split second and so did his voice. "Why did you not help the lady when she cried for help?"

Charlie scratched his chin. "It's quite simple really, I had no obligation to help her, I am not the little naive boy I used to be. If I helped her what would i gain?"

Haider sighed. "You are also scum!" He reached for his sword in his hilt and closed the distance between the two. He thrust his sword forward aimed straight for Charlie's heart.

CLLLLAAAANNNKKKK!

The sword that Haider used to attack Charlie shattered into small pieces. Haider looked at where he had thrust the sword. Covering his chest was a thick red scale.

"I would appreciate if you did not attack me, if you do a second time then I will have to resort to killing you." Charlie said. He turned around showing his giant sword on his back to Haider.

"Now that you are close to me, then surely you can tell the difference in strength between you and I." Charlie walked of leaving Haider staring at Charlie.

He gulped the saliva that he had not swallowed and breathed a sigh of relief. He thought that he could beat him. He thought that he was faster than him. Haider remembered when he moved how Charlie's eyes followed him. He could have counter attacked but he chose to defend.

Leaving alone the fact that he chose to defend he could feel the strong mana that was being contained with extreme difficulty. Haider shuddered as he thought of what could have happened to him if he had attacked.him recklessly.

But still, even if he was afraid he had a duty. He had a job and just because he was not strong enough to stop him did not mean there was no one else to stop him. Haider pressed a button on his belt. It lit up with a blue colour before beeping three times.

____

It was dusk when Haider entered a relatively large building. It wasn't as a big as a palace but it wasn't smaller than a mansion. The size of it was in between.

There were four gargoyle statues on the roof in the corners each facing away from each other. A four story tall building with gothic architecture on the outside.

Inside it was like a normal office. A very busy office that is. People were bustling about despite it being dusk. They carried giant stacks of papers while others carried heavy equipment.

Haider walked past all of them and climbed the stairs to the second floor. The building he was in was The Pierre Von Beethoven trooper building where he was currently working at to get work experience. It was practically an unpaid apprenticeship in which everyone had to do it if they wanted to become a trooper.

Troopers were basically the secret military. There were four branches of the troopers. The legal affairs branch, they practically sealed with all legal shenanigans and what nots. The gaurds, they were the gaurds that worked for the royal family, nobles or anyone important. Then there was the foreign affairs branch, they have to deal with problems outside the country as long as it was not legal matters.

And then finally there was the shadow troopers. They are the police of the country. They enforce the law, deal with any rebel uprisings, terrorists, normal crimes among other things.

No matter which branch you worked in you would receive great benefits. The benefits include higher authority than normal people, a giant paycheck in which you receive a raise at the end of every 2 years, status, pension and a significant tax cut.

As soon as Haider climed up the stairs he walked into an empty floor. People's desks were empty except for a few. Nearly everyone was out on patrol. Haider walked over to his desk in the corner of the room which was cold. Even in such a place where people are to be considered equals and where law and equality was to be held Haider suffered from great inequality.

He sat down on his chair and fiddled around with a small knife. He threw it at his other hand and caught it speeding it up until the knife was just a blur jumping from one hand to another.

"You should stop doing that, you'll cut yourself one of these days!" Dan looked up only to see Lin who was wearing a tactical vest over a dress. For some reason Lin, Winfrey, Horatio and Sind decided to become a trooper. Every time he asked them he would receive a simple answer. "Just because." they would say. 'They don't have to worry about their careers since they have insurance unlike me, lucky bastards I'm so jealous.' Haider would think.

"You look really nice in that attire." Haider complimented her.

Lin blushed and turned her head to the side. She put her hands behind her back before speaking softly. "Do you want to come over to my house?"
