Chapter 5

After splitting Shaun tried to find where Karen was last night. He went to meet Karen best friend Rob and knocks on his door. Rob opened the door and Shaun shows him his Id. My name is Officer Shaun and I came for investigation regarding murder case.

Murder case but I already tell the officer that I was not present at that party and I don't know anything then why you people keep bothering me. Rob, I am not talking about that rape and half murder case but the Karen murder case. Are you with Karen last night?

Officer, what do you mean is Karen dead! How and who killed him? Rob this what we are trying to find out? But you first tell me about the last night. Officer last night I am with Shaun till 2 O'clock after that he leaves the party.

Rob How did you know the exact time and did he leave with someone. Officer, I remembered the time because a hot girl came to the party every man in the bar tried to flirt with her only Karen was able to convince her. That girl left the bar at 2 O'clock as Karen came to me for car keys and left me alone as he wants to have some fun with that girl.

Rob tells me when you leave the party and who organized the party. Officer, I reached the home at 4 O'clock in the morning as it's hard to find a taxi at that time due to strike and Karen give me the party after getting bail from the Jail.  Tell me did you know who is that Girl or any think unusual which you remembered about the girl.  

Officer, we didn't see the girl face because it's Masquerade Party. But I remember her eyes its blue and she was wearing a butterfly masquerade. Rob, did Karen invite that girl to the party? No office we don't know her or anyone at the party and we did not invite her. As it was the common date party organized by the bar and everyone was invited to the party. Did Karen tell you anything about that girl? No, office he was in a hurry as he wants to catch that girl.

One last question Rob, "What is the name of the bar?" Officer the bar name is "West Froid". Rob, you are talking about the "West Froid" which is notorious for serving drugs and organizing blind date parties for their customers. Tell me did you take drugs?

Officer, I don't know what are you talking about now if you don't mind please leave me alone. Rob thank you for your cooperation if you remembered anything about the girl call me on this number. Thank You officer if I remembered anything I will surely call you. After that, he slammed the door on Shaun's face.

Shaun is about to leave Rob all of sudden open the door and shout office I remembered something. Shaun stopped and asked him what do you remembered? 

Officer, she smelled like fresh cinnamon roll. How did you know? Are you sure about this? 

Actually when Karen and that girl were dancing her feet twisted and as I was near to her she hold my jacket. At that time she was so close to me that why I am dead sure about this and moreover there is small scare behind her ear.

Ok, thanks after that Shaun leave the Rob house and sit in his car. He searched on the internet and came to know that the perfume name is "Cinnamon Delight" limited edition perfume and the company launched only 10 pieces. He called the perfume company to ask about where they sell this perfume. The company spokesperson informed him that they only sold three pieces to the same customer after that they withdraw this fragrance from their main outlet and distribute the remaining bottle as a free sample. Further, he asked about the price & how that person paid. He replied, "That person paid in cash at a rate of $120 per piece." After that, he called detective Francis but her mobile was again switched off. Shaun checks the app he installed on her phone and her last location was her house. He immediately turns his car to the detective house to meet her.

But before he reached her home he received the call from Chief and he picked it up. Chief shout, "Where are you and Why Detective Francis is not picking up my phone! We have received another letter from the killer."  I send you the e-mail check it right now and gave the phone to Detective Francis I want to talk to her." 

Chief Detective was not with me she left to the club "Wild Froid" where Karen was last seen. I am also on my way and he hung up the call before Chief would ask him another question. Shaun read the letter which Chief mailed him on the letter the killer is written, "Hi stupid pal lets makes this game more interesting I will kill my prey at bar Wild Froid if you are intelligent tried to find out my next victim and stop me." 

As he has a shortage of time so he decided to send a text message to Detective with details. He hoped that she will reach the bar on time. So he turned his car toward the bar to set up the trap for the killer along with other police officers.
