Chapter : 4 The Wall's Genesis: A Battle Against the Night King

Part 2

General PoV

The Gift, North of Wolfswood

Battle of Dawn

Bran's rallying cry resonated with the hearts of the First Men. They had come to Westeros as invaders, but in the face of the Night King's relentless advance, they had become defenders of their newfound homeland. They knew that their differences had to be set aside, for this battle was not just about their lives but the very future of mankind.

As Symeon, The Legendary Knight marshaled the First Men, he couldn't help but feel the weight of history upon his shoulders being humanity's best warrior. This battle was not a mere skirmish; He understood that they had to stand together, or they would all perish.

Leading humans in battle formation Lann, the clever, with Garth Greenhand, both having the biggest number in the army, of First men leading an army of 80 thousand men against a monstrous Night King, who was standing behind his army.

Yet, against an incoming horde of near never ending wights and Walker riding dead horses, despair upon men and men both fell. Reducing the number of warriors of mankind drastically compared to negligible change in undead no. as the fallen one keeps rising as long as Walkers and their magic stand. Blood painted the snowy white land red with screams of Men and women alike.

"We can't stand any longer, My lord. You must do something." Said one of the warriors to Lann, the Clever.

"Stark, it's time for your magic. I hope you know what you are doing with making a wall." Lannister's ancestors spoke to his companion, still feeling stupid about a wall stopping Night King

"I know it's time. It will be the greatest wonder the Westross has ever seen, Haha" Bran Stark laughed nonchalant as always even in such a situation.

"Tell Grey King to keep the enemy at bay, it's time he uses his water magic for something good of the realm, instead of looting and raping. I and Children will do the rest."

And Night King stood behind his army observing the ancestor of what will the great houses of Westross in future, slightly shocked seeing a Greyjoy Ancestor Grey King, who worshiped the drowned god and commanded krakens, create a wave of water cutting through his army of Wights halting there March.

"Hahah I will drown all of them, see the majestic power of the Sea." Grey King shouted like maniac

'The magic of bloodline in First Men is tremendous for some like Stark's Animal Control of those Wolves and Grey King's Water Magic, with earth magic of Garth Greenhand. So this is why Night King lost in connon. But I am different and know the future.' Night King after his monologue sent a message to general White Walker to begin their March.

As another glimmer of hope emerged for humans, as part of the plan, A group of Children of the Forest, the very beings who had once been at odds with the First Men, recognized the dire nature of the situation. They understood that defeating the Night King would require more than just swords and arrows; it would require the magic of the Old Gods.

Among the Children of the Forest, an ancient greenseer emerged as their guiding light. Her eyes were deep pools of wisdom, and her hands, gnarled with age, shimmered with an otherworldly light. She stepped forward, her voice barely a whisper yet carrying the weight of millennia. In the forgotten tongue of her people, she chanted incantations that summoned the ancient powers, calling upon the earth itself to aid them.

The ground beneath them trembled, responding to the greenseer's invocation. Massive blocks of ice began to rise from the earth, each etched with protective runes and spells. These colossal ice blocks melded together seamlessly, forming an awe-inspiring barrier that stretched as far as the eye could see. It was a wall of ice and stone, a testament to the combined magic of the Children of the Forest and the visionary ingenuity of Bran the Builder.

In that moment The Night King, his eyes ablaze with malevolent power, looking at the wall being constructed of his sword of ice gleaming eerily in the moonlight. He poured his magic commanding his generals through the psychic link.

"Attack Children, kill how many as you can. The more we kill, the less powerful the magic in the wall will be."

As commanded by a dozen or so Walker attacks children with ice magic, humans occupied it handling Wights and Children focussing on building the wall, watching as their family fell under ice bolts. For dozens of Children to die.

Night King shocked feeling his magic take quality leap and increase drastically, it's like after killing hundreds of humans and a new form of Magic; Greenseer Magic of Children.

'Hahahaha. This is Perfect. So this is how he did it. With my Soul Devouring ability as I can devour the power of the beings I kill having magic in their soul absorbed by my Magic and also their Magical abilities. And children have more magic than humans... giving me more magic. If I had known this i would have killed Leaf and Other instead of Capturing them. Now I have Greenseer Magic, although no mastery in it. Haha, it seems the World itself really wants me to kill Children of Forest. I was going to do that anyway.' Night king grins as he raises his hand summoning hundreds of ice spears, and waves to launching it at bullet speed.

Children see incoming attack summoning an invisible barrier of magic, but a barrier under such attack pales and with spears impaling many Children under the   devastating attack of night King.

"Grey King!! help Children from Night King attacks, we must maintain the formation of walls, we can't lose anymore of them." Stark shouted seeing Children slaughtered and reduction in their number, required to keep the magical construction of wall continue.

But remaining Children focussed on building the wall with broken hearts and tears in the eyes as their kind kept getting slaughtered.

Grey King stood in front of Children, stopping the next attack of White Walker, by summoning a wall of Water.

Night King seeing the Grey King sneered, dismounted his horse, walked in front while taking a weapon ice spear from his general, threw it with his immense strength, in the second tearing through Grey King's body, blasting it like a water balloon, his body was blasted in pieces.

Silence spreads through the battlefield from the shocking Heroes and Men, witnessing the death of their allies in an instant.

Night King savouring a similar sensation of killing and absorbing, this time obtaining Grey King feared Water Magic.

'Haha, it is a nice bonus. The Grey King Water Magic. Its possibilities are endless. But I will need to Master it. I don't get the dead's experience, memory or mastery from their souls. No worries, this will be more than enough.'

Battle continues, so does death, but the Wall, which was a Marvel of Magic itself, towering 700 feet, stretching 300 miles across the landmass of Westross, as if cutting it, made of solid ice, too thick to pearce. Nearly complete now. the Night King raised his arms, and with a sweeping motion, he conjured a blizzard of supernatural intensity. Winds howled, and snow and ice pelted the Wall, yet it remained steadfast.

Bran the Builder, standing before the Wall, felt the full force of the Night King's assault, saw the decrease in Night King's attacks lethal. He could still feel the chill of death creeping closer, yet he refused to yield. He clenched his fists, his breath visible in the frigid air, and called upon the collective strength of his people. "We must hold the line!" he shouted to the First Men. "For our children and their children, we must not falter!"

'The Wall seems to wither my magic, in its presence. I see why the original Night King waited 8k years. It will slowly diminish and degrade over time. It might still be the same size, but magic feels....breakable. I will need to study my magic and practice it. I am sure I can do it. Killing Children has greatly reduced its magical strength. But around 20 still survived huh. Well I can't pass my magic on that side of the wall, but can still use what remains over there.' Night King contemplated and smiled in disdain.

As the Night King's attempts to break through failed, the remaining Children of the Forest and First Men watched in awe and relief. The Wall had halted the advance of the Night King, protecting the realms of men from his icy wrath.

The greenseer of the Children of the Forest stepped forward, her eyes filled with ancient wisdom. "The Wall shall stand as a guardian," she declared. "As long as it remains, the Night King shall not pass." Still tears felling the loss of her brethren.

Bran the Builder nodded, his eyes unwaveringly fixed on the Night King. "The Wall will be our shield," he said. "And it will be a testament to the unity of our people in the face of unfathomable darkness."

'Look at these fools thinking I will simply let them live...huh'
