Chapter 1 : Murder

Rebecca woke up with a migraine, something hard hit her head and she blacked out.

(What happened? She was just drinking water from the pitcher then she was about to get some fruit from the fridge but she suddenly felt lightheaded.

She closed her eyes for a moment thinking that her dizziness would go away but it just got worst and she feel like she was about to collapse.

Rebecca tried to focus her vision and she saw a silhouette of a man, thinking it was Paul...her boyfriend. She called his name and asked for help. She tried to approach him but she fell on the floor, breaking the glass she was holding. She called his name again but he didn't answer.

" Honey can you please help me, I don't know what happened but I suddenly felt dizzy and I feel like I'm about to pass out" She reached out to him but he just stood there watching her "H-honey?"

She breathed a sigh of relief when he started walking towards her but froze in terror when she heard a familiar sound.

A whistle. He's whistling.

A tone that's been haunting her for two decades now.

She trembled in fear when she realized that it was not her boyfriend.

"What have you done to me?! Where's my boyfriend? Did you do something to him!!?" he just laughed at her.

He crouched down. She grab a fragment of glass and tried to stab him with it but he grabbed her wrist and twisted her hand. Rebecca cried out in pain.

"So you do know how to fight back. I thought you would just cry in the corner and did nothing while I was killing them" he said laughing. Delight and amusement are visible in his voice.

"Why don't you off your mask and show me your face you asshole!" Her bottom lip trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes.

He grasped her hair and mumbled in her ear.

"Don't be impatient. I'll show you my face but not now. Soon. For now, why don't you take a nap first, I have a surprise for you when you wake up" She felt something hard hit her head and she lost consciousness.

She woke up with a heavy head. She feels like her head is about to split into two. Rebecca touched her head and felt it was wet.

When she looked at her hand, she saw blood. Looking at her bloodstained hands she instantly felt weak and afraid. Pain overtook her body.

She tried to get up but fell again because her knees are trembling. She crawled towards the couch and supported herself to stand.

She searched the house to find her boyfriend but she didn't find him. And then she remembers her cellphone. She's sure he has a cell phone with him.

She found her phone on the kitchen counter. With shaking hands, she dialed her boyfriend's number.

"Please pick up. Baby, please answer the phone " but no one answered the phone it's just ringing. She dialed his phone again and went outside the house.

If he's not in the house then maybe he's at the cottage. Her boyfriend said he was gonna prepare their dinner at the hut.

As she gets nearer towards the hut she hears a ringtone. That's her boyfriend's phone!

When She got there, she didn't see her boyfriend. She notices the table. It has a note.

"Remove the cover and you will see my surprise for you," she said as she read the note.

Blood is dripping from the table. With shivering hands, she removes the cover.

Her eyes dilated. She felt horrified by what she saw. Tears started to flow like a river as she cried loudly.

"N-no...no..no....this is not true" she cried.

"Please god no!"

She screams and cried loudly. Hoping that what she's seeing is not true. How could he be so brutal? Why them and not her? Why?

She fell to the ground as her vision started spinning. She grasp some air as she had difficulty of breathing.

Rebecca tried reaching the table while calling her boyfriend's name.

At the table where Paul, her boyfriend of 3 years was served at the table instead of food. Like meat that was chopped into many pieces.
