The Providence of Solomon: I Become The Lord of 72 Demons

Hijack

She then quickly ran, leaving the book on the table.

Rafael looked at her, disappearing back with a concerned gaze. 'Oh well, that is not my problem, but maybe I will try to find more information about her later.'

Just like what happened with Aurora before, Rafael just couldn't stay still, knowing there was a possibility someone was being abused.

He then took the book about Ars Goetia.

Rafael spent some time reading it before he grew bored. 'The plot becomes repetitive after a while. I wonder what she finds interesting in this book.'

Looking at the time, which was almost five, it was better for him to go home.

He then walked toward the door, but as he passed the librarian's desk, there was no one to be seen. A bad premonition then came to his mind.

Click!

He tried to open the door, but it didn't budge. "Dammit, just what is the librarian doing? When I entered, she was asleep, and now, when I want to leave, she locked the door without even checking."

He then took his phone, wanting to make a call, but seeing no signal made Rafael frown.

He tried to shake the door a few more times and called out, "Hello, anyone there?"

"Hello!?"

After five minutes of trying, he sighed. His next option was to try to tackle the door open, but he didn't want to do that, as it would become a huge problem.

If the door broke, the school would surely call his sister, making her feel worried.

Rafael then started walking around the library, gazing toward the window and looking at the street. As the window locked from the inside, this allowed him to open it easily.

A strong wind blew through his golden hair as he gulped, seeing how far the height was.

"Damn, I thought it wouldn't be this tall."

Cold sweat dripped from his forehead. He gulped down as he hesitated.

"This is quite tall, but it's not like I have any other choice."

Rafael turned around and then looked for a way to jump down. He thought of finding fabric to throw down, but he couldn't find anything other than the curtain in the window.

He then began taking the fabric and tying it together, which turned into a long rope. Slowly, he began to throw it down until it reached the ground.

Turning his head, he then began to look for an anchor to tie it down. A good, decorated pillar then appeared in his view.

"This could work. Now, as long as the curtain is strong enough, I should be fine."

As Rafael tied it down, by fortune or misfortune, the sound of a lock opening reached his ear, making him freeze.

"Interesting to find a student here. Why haven't you gone back home yet, Rafael? And what do you plan to do with the curtain?"

Rafael hesitated as he didn't know what to say, but after a while, he decided to just come clean. He expected Mr. Velkan to be angry at him, but to his surprise, he didn't say much other than telling him to go home quickly.

Rafael didn't waste time and quickly bolted from the area. He felt both relieved and worried about the situation.

Relieved he didn't need to jump down and worried about leaving a bad impression on Mr. Velkan.

Velkan walked toward the window, seeing the tied curtain going all the way to the ground. His lips curled into a smile while his eyes flickered with impatience. "As expected from the lord's heir, no normal student would dare to do something like this for a small issue. I cannot wait…"

Meanwhile, Rafael was oblivious to all of this as he quickly made his way back home.

"I hope Sis doesn't believe my excuse," Rafael mumbled with a sigh as he waited for the bus to come.

He reasoned to Reina that he was having fun with new friends and would be home before dinner.

But Reina should know this is not normal for him; he has never done anything like this before.

Seeing the passing lights, Rafael let out a sigh, 'It's just the first day, and so many things have already happened.

The bully and school—I somehow feel this will just get worse as time goes on. Well, it's not like everyone is bad.

There's still the security guy, Ben; he seems like a decent person. Then there's the girl Suiyin…

I hope she's not into something really bad, and I'm just overthinking.'

As his mind went wild with many possibilities, his body suddenly jolted in reflex, pressing into the front seat.

The bus took a sudden break as it turned ninety degrees, almost causing it to tip over.

Rafael frowned as he quickly assessed the situation. In front of the bus, there was a group of people riding motorcycles.

'And when I thought the day couldn't get worse…'

He had seen this multiple times in the news: a motorcycle gang doing robbery at night on public transport. Rafael quickly looked toward the other passengers, hoping to find someone who might help if he fought back.

CLANG! CLANG!

The riders started banging on the glass as they put up a piece of paper with the text: 'Open or we will destroy the glass! We just need money, then we will leave you all alone.'

Rafael could hear many passengers start screaming in panic. As it was almost night, the bus was packed with office workers returning from work.

While he kept looking through the chaos, a specific person caught his gaze.

'Is that him? But it's already this time.'

Rafael could make out a tall figure from behind. It looked like the student in his class, Aiyden.

Curious, Rafael got out of his seat and made his way forward, but at this moment, a loud shattering glass reached his ears.

The driver didn't want to open the door, resulting in the gang smashing the front glass.

PRANG!!!

"Kyaa!"

"Help! Someone help us!" a woman in the front row cried out.
