Aurora's Identity

"It's not like I give it to anyone," Aurora replied with a pout.

"Hello, we just met today, Aurora, and you are already offering me that."

"You are just different…"

Hearing how serious she said it made Rafael sigh. 'Again…'

This is not the first time someone told him that, sometimes occasionally a person would just act so friendly with him and just trust him completely.

He didn't know the reason why, but it just happened.

"Let's not talk about that. So what movie are you shooting?" Rafael asked.

They then exchanged some small talk as they finished their meal. At first, Rafael thought Aurora would say goodbye, but it turned out she kept following him.

She ended up helping Rafael choose the shoes and watch. She even offered to pay for it, but Rafael rejected it.

Walking with two bags in hand, Rafael asked, "Where are you going now?"

"I am waiting for someone to pick me up soon." Just as Aurora said this, two men in suits came running after her.

'No wonder, as I thought, there's no way a woman as beautiful and naive as she could survive going alone.'

"Miss…" one of the guards wanted to say something, but Aurora pulled both of them, shutting them up.

"Bye, Rafael, don't you dare not reply to my text," Aurora said as she left.

"What a weird day," Rafael said with a sigh, then left the area.

This time, he rode a bus; the day had taken a lot of toll on him.

On the way, he started searching for Aurora, and the search results surprised him.

'The hell, am I dreaming? She is a real princess?'

Looking further, he found out that Aurora was royalty from the country he lived in, Eldoria Kingdom.

'A true diva and a princess, the prodigy daughter of King Epsilon. What a title.' Rafael mumbled in his mind.

He then looked back at the road passing by in his gaze, 'I wonder how our life would be if we were born with such a diamond spoon.

But seeing how desperate she was for a friend, it doesn't seem like a good life.'

Time passed, and a few months quickly passed by quietly.

In these months, his relationship with Aurora became closer.

Rafael played dumbly and didn't mention any of her status as a princess or diva; he just treated her like a normal person.

To his surprise, he found out both of them had the same hobby: reading web novels.

It's Rafael's way of escaping his life situation.

Self-inserting himself as the protagonist, thinking about what he would do in that situation.

Having a cheat in life, getting a system so he could make his sister happy, is his dream.

As for Aurora, she just wanted to find an escape from her status. Living as a normal person and having a real friend and partner.

In reality, Aurora didn't even mind the responsibility that comes with her status, but as Rafael said, people just cannot look past all that.

In their eyes, her status and wealth are all there is.

She wanted to be seen as Aurora. Not Princess Aurora, nor Aurora, the diva.

Having just finished his breakfast, Rafael started making his way to school. Today was his first day.

Walking near the gate, Rafael smiled and greeted Ben, the security guard.

Ben gave a small nod, then returned to his duty.

As he walked through the schoolyard, he could see many students were already making groups.

'As I expected, the majority of people here continue from middle school. New students like me will stick out like a sore thumb.'

His eyes then looked at their accessories and bags. After spending a day shopping with Aurora, his knowledge of this matter had increased significantly.

'They all really wear artisan brands. It's even higher than those luxurious ones.'

Based on what Aurora told him, the truly wealthy never wear luxury brands that plaster their logo everywhere.

They usually wear artisan brands that only have the simple signature of the creator. Each piece is handcrafted to perfection based on the customer's demand.

The price is sky-high, but artisan brand products usually last a lifetime.

With a sigh, Rafael took out his watch and put it in his sling bag. He felt it was better to hide it rather than give them material to bully him.

As for his shoes and bag, it's not like he had any choice. He didn't even buy a new bag; it's the old one he wore from middle school.

Soon, he could start feeling some glances and people whispering, but Rafael chose to ignore them. His focus now was on looking for someone similar to him.

Based on his knowledge, there should be more students like him. There is one more who got a full scholarship and three others with partial scholarships.

So, in total, five new students now, counting those who moved from other schools without any program.

His eyes quickly stopped at someone with black hair and glasses. Based on his alertness and attitude, Rafael was sure he was someone like him.

On the way, he also marked a few people who looked down on him. Even though it was just a glance, Rafael's memory was good enough to memorize all their faces.

'First goal for today: gain a new friend, then avoid those troublemakers,' Rafael thought.

Arriving behind the timid teenager with a thin body, Rafael called out, "Hey, are you a new student like me?"

The teenager stopped in his tracks and said, "Y-yes."

Rafael put his hand over his shoulder, "I am Rafael. No need to be so timid around me. Both of us are new here. So what brings you to this elite school?"

"I... I am Tom. I came here because this is the best school in town. Graduating from here will allow me to choose any college I want."
