Chapter Fourty Two: The Illusion

Gabriel and the others were confused as to what had just passed by. " That was heading to the Kingdom. The group agreed that it would be best to return back. They weren't too far away from the Kingdom.

" BOOM" The loud screams of explosions could be heard from Gabriel's home. This made him shift and run as hard and as fast as he could, followed by the others.

Lysette had made her way from her home, she was still hurting a little but it was aches more than anything serious. As she steps out, she notices the fireball flying overhead and heading towards her Homeland. " Oh god..it has begun" She shifts into her wolf form and begins making her way there with lightning fast speeds.

Queen Aurora now stood face to face with Gwen who could not believe her eyes. " Why..." She asks, confused as to what would have led or caused Aurora to attack her.

" Because " Aurora walks gracefully over to Gwen who was trying to move but was frozen. She wasn't scared, but she still couldn't move. Something Aurora had done prevented her from doing so.

" The Lycans must die. And that can't happen with Kara in the way " Aurora smiles as she reaches out and places her hand on Gwen's cheek.

" So you are manipulating her? To take them out? You are fucking crazy. I know that you have had your problems..but this is fucking ridiculous" Gwen was trying so hard to move in this moment. Anything, to get some space between her and Aurora.

" Oh sweetie. This is so much bigger than you could ever realize. And I don't expect you to understand " Aurora explains.

" When Kara learns the truth...she is going to be crushed. You will have pushed her off the edge..." Gwen continues her struggle.

" And that, is a risk that must be taken" Aurora steps foward and slides a large fire blade deep inside of Gwen's gut.

Though painful. Gwen laughed. " Its gonna take more than that..you crazy Fucking hag " though Aurora doesn't seem bothered by her confidence at all.

" Oh I'm aware " She smiles as she places her places two fingers onto Gwen's forehead.

" I know you cared for her. But you are going to be a problem and I can't allow that " Aurora smiles as Gwen drops the ground. The color from her eyes were now completely gone. She was dead.

The door opens, and a familiar sight enters the room. Aurora looks back and smirks. " Santara...you know what to do"

Kara had searched throughout the castle for Gabriel but he was nowhere to be found. It didn't surprise. Of course he would run. He knew what he had done. But why would he care to begin with? He didn't fear her. He didn't care about what he had taken from her.

As they entered the Kingdoms walls. All they could see was smoke and fire. Everything had been destroyed. " What..happened?" Raven asked, in awe of the destruction they were seeing. Who would do something like this to the Lycans Kingdom? The Vampires?

Gabriel makes his way through the town, relieved that he found no bodies but saddened and angered that his entire Kingdom had been destroyed. And that is when he heard her voice.

" GABRIEL" Kara called to him from the entrance of the castle.

"Kara..." he turns to her. She looked different. Her eyes were glowing green and fire, the same green fire that covered the town was surrounding her hands.

" You...you did this? " he asked. In disbelief that she would be capable of something like this.

" How does it feel? To be the King of nothing. This Kingdom is so fucking important to you. That you threaten to kill me if I come here? You have some fucking Audacity" She steps foward as Gabriel stands in the middle of the street. " And that is what you did to my mother. She came here, to try and make peace. And you fucking had her killed" Kara continues walking to him as Gabriel stares on. " What..are you talking about? " Gabriel had no idea what she was referring to. He was more confused than anyone else.

" Gabriel. You are a selfish son of a bitch. You don't fucking care about me. You never fucking did. You never cared at all. You only care about your people and that bitch " Kara shoots a fire ball to Victoria which Shawn deflects with his scythe.

" You are going to pay for what you did" Kara flies towards Gabriel, launching her fist deep into his gut, sending them both flying back through a wall. Where she straddles him and punches him repeatedly. Gabriel took every single punch, each one being harder than the last. He knew he should fight back but he couldn't bring himself to do so.

He took the punches, his face slowly giving way to her bones, his nose bleeding, his eyes blackened, his mouth filled with blood. Raven and Victoria move foward to intervene but Shawn holds them both back.

" Why.." Kara cries as she connects dozens of more hits onto his face. " Why don't you love me. What did I fucking do that was so wrong. Why do I matter so little? Why cant...I be her.." Kara rears back her fist, ramming it hard into the ground beside Gabriel's head, leaving it sunken into the earth up to the wrist.

" I begged for you to kill me. But you wouldn't. You didn't even care enough to put me out of my misery. Fuck you. Fuck you Gabriel " She continues sobbing. Her punches have ceased. " Stand the fuck up " Kara demanded as she stood up and walked away from him a few feet away.

" You are going to fight me. And you are either going to kill me. Or I am going to kill you. But one way or the other. This is going to end today. This will not continue any longer." She was more serious than she ever had been. She wanted this to stop. She wanted the pain to stop. She wanted the hatred to stop. She wanted to be happy again. And she couldn't. Not like this"

" You wanted me to kill you...but I couldn't. And I never could. I am far to weak for that. But I know I've caused you hurt and pain. I can't ever replace what I have taken from you. If you want me dead. Then you need to kill me. Kill me here and now. If that is what will end your suffering. Then end me" Gabriel says calmly.

" I can't live like this either. I can't do this anymore. If the only way out of this for you is for one of us to die. Then kill me now. But understand this now Kara. I'm not going to fight back. I am not going to raise a hand to you. Ever again" he thought about Ravens words. He knew he deserved this and refused to bring her anymore pain. I am sorry. I am fucking sorry. For everything " He explains.

Kara's eyes continued glowing as she walked up to up. Staring him eye to eye.

" Say it Gabriel. Say you don't love me. Say it. Now" Kara demands.

No" Gabriel simply responds. " FUCKING SAY IT DAMMIT. FUCKING SAY IT NOW YOU PIECE OF SHIT " tears begin pouring from her eyes. And boil from the flames on her cheeks.

" No" he says again. Kara slaps her hand across his face. Leaving a huge burn mark, blood mixing in his beard from his mouth and nose. He could barely see out of his eyes. But he was able to focus on the green glow from her flames.

" Say it Gabriel... fucking say it" She demands again as Shawn and Raven watch on, their hearts breaking from the sight.

" Kara...no.." He responds, coughing out some of the blood. " Why.." Kara asked. " WHY " she grabs his face, smashing his Jaw in her finger tips as the flames melt his skin. " I love you Kara..I always have. I always will" he smiles as he slips out of consciousness and falls to the ground. Kara looks down at his body. Staring with hate and confusion. " Why..."She asked again. " WHY " she kicks his ribs. " WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY" She screams as Raven runs up behind her and pulls Kara off of him.

" He has had enough Kara" Raven kneels down in front of Gabriel as Shawn heads over to check on Gabriel's body.

" He lies.." She screams at Raven. Blowing her hair back from the sher force.

" He doesn't lie. You know that.." Raven explains which lowers the flames from Kara's body.

" Gabriel..." Kara cries lowly. Victoria, who had shifted and was left unattended, ran up behind Kara and was about to launch a kill strike when she was tackled to and pushed into the burning rubble of one of the houses. Kara turned around to see Lysette standing behind her, growling in Victoria's direction who made it back to her feet. " Why would you defend her? Did you not see what she did to Gabriel? " Victoria growls back, as Victoria and Lysette circle one another.

" Because as much as I dislike her family. I know she is innocent. What happens between her and my nephew are between them. But you..you dare wear the shell of Victoria, but could not walk a single inch in her shoes. You are not Victoria. You are nothing but a lie. An empty promise of something that could never be. I'll admit, you had me fooled. But you are still at best, limited by all that you know which is nothing at all. But how could you know? You never cared much for us..did you?" Lysette Growls.

Victoria stares her down, as Lysette charges foward striking her down, causing a wound that would normally be death, but instead made Victoria dissapear.
