"This is…?!"
Heisenberg ended up hitting Anna in front of him, only to find out she was an illusion! Seconds later, the dozens of Annas attacked him all at the same time, their weapons dealing actual damage to him.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The countless slash attacks pierced his skin and cut countless chunks out of him. The furious Chimera kept regenerating, distorting his face into a monstrous dragon-like one.
"RAAAH!"
A blazing breath was released, blasting through Anna's little mirages with ease like a big explosion. Flames spread across the entire castle as the beam pierced through it all.
BOOOM!
"Hahah…. HAHAHAH!"
Heisenberg laughed, his mind deteriorating the more he used his monstrous shapeshifting abilities. The entire world around him was in flames, just what he had always wished for.
"Where are you?! I know you're still alive! Come here and let me roast that pretty face of yours until nothing remains but your calcinated skull."
The madman continued roaring and laughing, only for countless crimson snakes to appear around him out of nowhere.
"Hisss!"
"Wha…?!"
The snakes moved faster than he imagined and seemed to be made of some sort of demon Aura Energy, trespassing through any clothes or equipment and beginning to bite his flesh, draining his energy.
"UGH?! It's draining my energy!"
He quickly swung his gigantic arms, crushing them one after another, only for Anna to appear behind him, her body made completely out of lightning.
"You sneaky little…!"
Heisenberg managed to spot her arrival swiftly, twisting his body, breaking his bones and twisting his muscles if he had to, and greeting her with his eight gigantic fists, ready to pulverize her.
"{Thousand Blades}: {Thunderous Rising Dragon}!"
With both Gram and Aim's sword forms, Anna unleashed a powerful technique, her Aura exploding into the form of a gigantic dragon made of lighting, now gaining crimson energies as well, as she added on Uroboros powers!
"ROOOAARR!"
The dragon made of lightning, a result of Anna's techniques, engulfed Heisenberg completely into an explosion of lighting. The explosion felt as if thousands of swords were cutting through his flesh!
BOOOM!
Blood, flesh, and innards splattered everywhere. Heisenberg clenched his fists as he tanked one of Anna's strongest techniques, a new arm growing where they once were in the shape of a giant cannon.
"DIEEE!"
RUMBLE!
A crimson and black cannon was released from that arm, reaching Anna in a split second!
However, the girl simply smiled, her {Radiance} growing distorted as she gained a few red scales over her neck, arms, legs, and a long snake-like crimson tail.
Her eyes looked like those of a ferocious snake, too!
"{Demonic Snake's Gluttony}!"
"SHAAAAH!"
Her {Radiance} fused with her Aura, transforming into a gigantic crimson snake, opening its jaws, and devouring almost half of the beam in a single second!
CRUNCH!
"Huh?!"
Heisenberg couldn't hide his disbelief, only for his face to distort into even more horror as he saw Anna's swords slash through his energy attack.
"{Thousand Blades}: {Celestial Demon's Cross}"
SLASH!
X-shaped attacks pierced through his beam, swiftly landing on Heisenberg's body and cutting him into pieces. His head flew into the air!
"I-Impossible…! To be pushed like this by a mere girl!"
His thought process flashed as he analyzed Anna's movements and powers. All of them also coincided with Uroboros' presence disappearing!
Somehow, Uroboros was defeated, and Anna took part of his powers for himself, something he simply couldn't fathom.
"MY LORD!"
The scream of Shade echoed as his shadows quickly caught all of Heisenberg's body parts, Anna barely missing on finishing his head off with her swords!
"Don't you dare run away!"
Anna leaped into midair, her entire body spinning rapidly like a wheel, as she converted into pure lightning and reached Shade in a second, her two swords greeting his face.
"{Thousand Blades}: {Demonic Lightning Dragon's Fangs}!"
The shape of a monstrous dragon made of black and red lightning descended toward Shade, his crimson eyes widening in shock over the girl's prowess!
CRASH!
The lightning filled Shade's body until he blew up, his shadow pieces spreading everywhere, as Heisenberg took the opportunity to fuse back together his body parts, showing Annabelle the extent of his regeneration abilities, which neared the extent that Vampire Counts could achieve!
"She's too strong, Master!"
Shade slowly gathered himself together as well; as long as he could turn himself into shadows, he was able to recover from almost any damage as long as he could fuse back his shadow pieces.
"What a monster... And I thought I was one."
Heisenberg had a myriad of abilities, but even then, Anna had as many too. This was perhaps the most challenging foe he had ever fought.
His body quickly shapeshifted, dividing into countless pieces that became monstrous chimeric aberrations.
"Buy me some time."
He gave them an order, and over thirty giant abominations popped out of his body as tumors roared in unison, charging toward Anna and Annabelle!
"GROOOOAARR!!"
"He can summon monsters too?!" Anna thought. "I don't remember this happening in the original story."
While thinking that, Anna swiftly grabbed Annabelle and rushed to where Baihe, Sara, and Kevin were, currently surrounded by giant bats made of shadows.
Shade summoned those as well, just to distract his foes so he could go help Heisenberg!
"Annabelle, can you take care of the Shadowlings?" Asked Anna.
"I-I can! Leave it to me!" Annabelle quickly leaped out of Anna's back, her powers shapeshifting and materializing into giant claws of black metal.
Her Aura also exuded a bit of her developing {Radiance}, as countless Spider Creatures made of her Aura emerged, attacking the Shadowlings.
Anna used this time to summon her squadron of Angelic Knight Spirits, which descended once she chanted the activation effect of {Princess of Heaven}!
FLASH!
Ten Angelic Knight Spirits emerged in a flash, resembling angels that descended from the skies themselves; their Stats were around the same as hers, plus a 50% bonus.
"Attack!"
She ordered them as they swiftly jumped into action, slaying the Aberrant Chimeras that Heisenberg had created. Anna wanted to follow him, but she had to first prioritize the safety of her friends, who were all deadly wounded.
"Uuuggh… M-My leg…" Kevin groaned in pain, tears coming from his eyes.
"Kevin!" Anna landed in front of him like a meteor, making him scream.
"Uwaaagh! E-Eh?! Anna!" He cried. "You're back!"
"She's back!" Baihe cried.
"You're finally back!" Sara screamed too.
They wanted to hug her but were too tired to even move, all while Annabelle and Anna's spirits were fighting against swarms of monsters.
"Don't worry, I got this," Anna said, touching the wounds and using her special Skill.
"{Healing Touch}!"
FLASH!
She healed their minor wounds using Healing Touch and then conjured several strong healing spells at once over their larger wounds. In a few seconds, they were like new! All the while Anna gasped for air, and the pressure of everything she had been doing since the start of this day was beginning to weigh her down.
"A-Are you alright now? W-We don't have time to talk, though; too much is happening. Too much will happen." Anna sighed, standing up. "Beelzebub is beginning to ascend, and that bastard of Heisenberg is escaping!"
"Yeah, I'm fine now, thanks." Kevin said, his eyes looking at Anna with pity. "You're so tired, though; you should rest a bit!"
"Yeah!" Baihe said. "Now that we're recovered, leave the monsters to us!"
"Master, I mean, Anna, leave the rest to us," Sara said.
Anna looked at their confident gazes; her eyes had somehow grown tired and slightly lightless. But they regained their light once she realized she had others to rely on instead of having to carry on everything by herself.
"I wish I could rest now." She sighed, drinking half of the Constellation Blood Elixir she just made. "But sadly, I can't give myself this privilege... Let's break through this!"
"GROOOAARR!"
The Aberrant Chimeras kept attacking; three out of ten of the Angelic Knight Spirits had already died by their claws, and the other seven were struggling to keep them in check.
These Knights had her stats, which were pretty good right now; she was at least at the level of a B-Rank hunter in terms of stats alone. It was mostly thanks to her Skills, Titles, Items, and Privileges that she could unleash the power of an S Rank.
Therefore, even if her summons shared her stats, there was a huge disparity in their strength compared to hers!
However, after Annabelle took down the Shadowlings, much weaker than the Chimeras, she joined Anna and everyone else, who swiftly started cutting down the Chimeras' numbers.
Baihe's frost stopped their advance, Annabelle cut them down and surrounded them with her spiders, and Kevin, Sara, and Anna slashed them into pieces.
Heisenberg's distraction lasted less than a minute. Anna's eyes flashed with black and red lightning. Having secured her friends' safety, she quickly set her target on the two chimeras.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?!"
Anna quickly started chasing the two of them as they leaped through the castle rooms, resembling a small lightning-made toad.
"She's fast!"
"Almost there."
Heisenberg, without a single second to waste, already decided he needed much more power to fight her, swiftly deciding to move to the top of the castle, where Beelzebub was!
RUMBLE!
At the same time, the skies turned black, and the laughter of Beelzebub was clear to everyone's ears if they hadn't before.
Countless insectoid monsters surged from within; his plans were simple. He would ascend back to his throne by undergoing his Ascension Ceremony.
There was a different one for every Death Apostle, and Beelzebub was required to kill ten million innocent lives within 24 hours.
"I shall become the new Archdemon of Gluttony, no matter what!" He laughed. "And this entire city will add to my {Epic}, so it can once more evolve into a {Legend}! Now- Oh?"
His giant bug-like eyes quickly noticed Heisenberg and Shade rushing towards him, right below the Death Apostle, floating in midair.
"Beelzebub!"
"Heisenberg, have you come back to beg me to help you slay that little ant?"
"No, I have come to claim the power you've been saving for me."
"What?"
FLASH!
Heisenberg raised his right hand; the Demonic Stigma inscribed on it glowed with crimson and black energies, and his {Radiance} activated fully.
The Demonic Stigma, made to control him, created a connection Heisenberg abused, using his Absorption Power to absorb Beelzebub's entirely from the depths of his soul.
Abusing how weak Beelzebub was within the penalties of an Earth that was only on the First Awakening, Heisenberg did the impossible.
"Heisenberg? What are you doing?! Ugh...! AGHH!"
The fly-like demon's entire body twisted into a mass of pure darkness, which Heisenberg devoured in a single bite. The surplus of demonic power quickly mutated his soul and body, his entire being evolving from merely a Chimera to something much more demonic and powerful.
"Hahah… HAHAHAHAHA!"
Anna's butterfly effect has brought the worst-case scenario.
