Purple Fire: Lila Setafon

I didn't do anything, nor say anything. Instead, I slowly unsheathed the longsword on my back.

"Don't move!"

"You have been warned, stranger!"

"That sword is definitely Dunkrieg's! Wait, why is the cloud pattern on the blade is blue?"

I could hear more whispers amongst the Streetlight Talons.

"H-hey, ain't the pattern supposed to be white cloud."

"I never saw that blue wave pattern."

"Haish, maybe Lila is wrong."

"I heard that some MINDs have similar appearance because of their Workshop's production."

"I feel dumb for getting worked for this."

As the crowd began to doubt the fact, I immediately sheathed the sword back to show that I'm not hostile. Afterwards, I removed my gas mask and wrapped linen, revealing my casual smiling face as I closed my left eye.

So that I could hide the fact that my eye was stabbed meticulously by a random unknown dude that believed he was a ninja.

"F-F-F-F—!"

Lila, the woman with dark purple bob haircut, in which that was the only thing that stood out from here—began to immediately kneel awkwardly in front of me. "I'm sorry to doubt you, Mr. Faust!"

That attitude, I think knew her.

"Ah, it turns out to be Sir 'Mediator'!" said one of the Streetlight Talons in the background

One of them even sighed before sheathing their weapon. "It's that 'Faust', I don't want to mess with that guy."

"Even if he is that 'Faust', and what Lila said is true. Heh, I won't back down."

"Thievery is a no joke here."

Ignoring all of those goons, I kept my direction facing the long time—how do I say it—some sort of a disciple of mine.

Just for the fun of it, I'll act dumb and clueless.

"I haven't met you, are you from the West Outpost?" I asked her.

"Yes!" she raised her head, her eyes began to sparkle as she did so. She then began to pour out everything that was within head into words at a fast speed. "We actually have met before at District 56 as you saved me from the organs dealer of the street. You're my hero back then and will always be in my heart even till now, but that was five years ago and you have probably forgotten about me..."

Woah, woah, that was awkward and embarrassing. But thanks to that, I'm sure of my prediction.

So five years have passed since then, huh.

"Hmm, are you Lila Setafon?"

"Yes!" A wide smile was plastered on her face. "You still remember me!"

Yep, right off the mark.

She looked really mature in appearance, I almost thought that she was a woman in her twenty with those assets.

Lila Setafon, a runaway teenage troublemaker that I stumbled upon back then. Cold and hungry, she was chased by a couple of organ dealers within District 56. Just like what she had already said.

While I'm not much of anybody back then, she has inherited a couple of my fighting and survival techniques as we began to meet almost everyday in that very part of the Lowstreet.

Didn't know that she would end up being a member of Streetlight Talon. Knowing that I didn't see her at all in this District, she might be dispatched to the other Streetlight Talon's base at District 66.

"You looked like a proper adult now, have you been eating well?"

"Of course, I have!" She proudly smiled, still in the kneeling position. "I remembered all of your words!"

"O-oy!" One of the Streetlight Talons pointed at me. "You still haven't explained that sheath over there!"

Lila growled at that man. "Dumbass! Mr. Faust won't do such a thing!"

At that moment, a terrifying energy expulsion sound could be heard, one second after a great hole was created on the towering Nihil within the background.

Numerous silhouettes could also be leaping and dancing within the hellish view; they looked like an extremely small shadow caricature in contrast to the gigantic beast that was two hundred times bigger than them.

"My, my. Regardless, I'm up for explaining." I walked four steps to the left where I hid my spear seemingly in the shadow of the fire and the rubble, before retrieving it and unsheathing Frieden at the same time. "But that's for later. As of now,

"We have the 'Landsknecht' at our counter."

In the distance, numerous pikes and mens with helmets, steel boots, brown ties, and suits were armored from shoulders to wrist.

All tips of the blades were pointed to the sky,. slowly advancing forward.

It was only a matter of aggression until the main unit of the former Nihil Suppression would clash with that amount. And then.

We all clashed.

Balls of lightning were thrown. Artificial fireballs were flungs. Steels clanged, and blood was sprouting like trees.

I only used my spear, as that alone was enough to deal with the situation. The normal personnel from the Landsknecht weren't really that dangerous.

It was the 'Doppelsoldners' that I'm scared of.

Speaking of dangerous, it might just be me, but why did many of them fight worse than the one within my memories? As if these bunch were actually an accountant and intel officers, much less of a fighter.

This battle didn't need me to waste my energy. I leaped to the nearest tall rubble, and analyzed the situation for myself.

"Hmm, the sky is windy. Not good for barbeque."

Most of the supporting Offices had left this area of the District, which were majorly covered by searing imputation of heat that could turn one into a glorious piece of steak.

The death tolls must've reached four digits or even five at this point.

As to why none of us now cared about the rampaging Nihil that was a few kilometers away, burning everything and anything that made contact with its random frisbees of destruction—it was the very same reason as to how everything was led by the ideology of prevailing selfishness. Albeit, the logical one, if I need to add.

There was no such thing as a hero in this story. Nobody wanted to lunge into that hell and sacrifice all of their body and assets to prevent more destruction.

To mine and theirs honesty, everyone here had the capability to continue suppressing the creepy skeleton giraffe, but what was the gain in doing so when everything had fallen apart?

The Nihil have broken through the Hive's barricade, which meant that whoever got appointed to manage the safety of the advertised 'The Most Safe Haven For All' Hive would be pressing their 'Please, send me a reinforcement' many times before sitting back down on their expensive chair.

That button would mean a lot of things, depending on what kind 'Heads' that this District was handled by. Not to be mistaken as the higher echelon of government called the 'Ouranos', kay? They were different.

It was similar to the Apartment Owner kind of deal. While the Ouranos had the road, walls, buildings, the newly built buildings, except for the doors—the Heads have the right to claim the monthly payments for those who lived in the Hives.

Indeed, instead of an Apartment Owner, the Heads were the Hives owner!

"Oops, I'm sorry there, Mr. Landsknechte. My spear got accidentally thrusted into your chest."
