Chapter 31

Vampire Awakening 2.

In the solitude of the ditch, Dex began to think about his past. He remembered the life he had left behind, and the family and friends he had left behind. He remembered his childhood, and how he had always felt different from the other children.

Dex felt a range of emotions. First, there was the pain from his injuries, both physical and emotional. He felt betrayed by the people he had thought were his friends but then he didn't blame them,for they were simply carrying out an order...

Just as the sun was setting, Dex saw a figure approaching in the distance. At first, he thought it was a trick of the light, or perhaps a hallucination brought on by hunger and exhaustion. But as the figure came closer, he realized that it was real. It was a woman, dressed in black robes, with a hood covering her face. She stopped a few feet away from the ditch, and looked down at Dex. Then, she spoke. "I am here to help you, if you are willing to accept it," she said.

Dex was skeptical. After all he had been through, he wasn't sure if he could trust anyone. But something about the woman's voice was soothing, and her offer of help was hard to resist. "What do you want from me?" he asked. "I want to help you find your way," the woman replied. "I can help you control your hunger, and I can teach you to use your abilities for good.

"And what I give you in return?

"But first, you must make a choice," the woman said. "You must decide if you are going to continue down the path you have been on, or if you are going to choose a different path. It will not be easy, but it is possible. It is up to you." Dex considered her words. He knew that the path he had been on was leading him to his destiny, and he did not want to continue down that road. But he also knew that the other path would be difficult. It would require him to change.

"I have seen your pure heart and thought,and I believe you are the right person for me to give this sword to..

"I will give you a blade forged from silver and steel. It will be a weapon that can vanquish the creatures that haunt the night. But it is not the sword that matters. It is your heart that must change. The sword will only help you if you are truly committed to your mission ." Dex pondered her words...

"Thank you for your kind words,"you are the chosen one and only you can save yourself from this situation, call on me whenever you need my help and lastly believe in yourself,I shall take my leave and she vanished...

"Dex wasn't surprised by visit,"only you can save yourself from this situation,the word of the lady came to his mind,"how do I do this?".

When the full moon appeared,Dex looked up to thr sky and muttered "Not the stars in the sky but the moon above,listen to my heart beat,look through my heart and see it's desire...

"After some minutes and nothing happened,"am I really the chosen one?"

"As Dex kept looking up at the full moon, something strange began to happen. He felt a tingling sensation all over his body, and he began to float off the ground. As he rose higher and higher, he saw the moon get larger and larger, until it filled his entire field of vision. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and Dex was engulfed in white light. When the light cleared, Dex found himself standing in a strange place. He could see the moon in the sky, but the landscape around him was unfamiliar. And then, from the shadows, a figure emerged.

"The figure approached Athena and said, "You have been chosen for a great purpose, one that will change the course of history. You must go forth and fulfill your destiny.

Athena found herself back in the woods, no longer in disguise as a simple bodyguard. She was once again herself, a powerful vampire. But something had changed within her. She felt the need to protect the innocent. She had found a new weapon one that would bring redemption to the human and supernatural realm. She made her way back to the refuge camp, where the people welcomed her with open arms. They had missed her, and they were relieved to see her safe.

"Athena,jack hugged her so tightly to himself, you don't know how much I have missed you, uncle Geal and I went to the human realm looking for you, Jack said wiping his tears away.... I was ....I was worried catlayer said while hugging Athena,"you guyssss.....stop crying, nothing can happen to me,I have a mission to accomplish,"That is what I hate most,the fact that you have the moon goddess to protect you, catlayer muttered,"but all the same I'm sorry for getting everyone worried about me, Athena said..."I will like to call a council meeting,I have some important issues to discuss with them,"jack summon the people,"Yes chosen one,jack Left and Athena turned towards her uncles,I have a big surprise but I will announce it at the council chamber...

"Everyone gathered both Young and old waiting for Athena to arrive , what is keeping her ?","Patient people,she will soon arrive Rang said entering...

Greetings great seer, greetings Rang replied waving at them.

"Few minutes late, Athena entered,As she entered the council chamber, all eyes turned to her. The room was abuzz with whispers, as the people marveled at her transformation. Gone was the simple girl, replaced by a vampire in all her glory. The head of the council stood and said, "Welcome back, chosen one. We are glad to see you safe and sound. We have much to discuss, but first, we want to hear your story." Athena took a deep breath and began to recount her adventure.

Athena told the council about her journey to the city, and how she had been captured by the Vlad the leader of the dark realm clan." Wait...wait my child,do you mean to tell all of us gathering here that you have seen that evil son of Alice "?,yes ..yes..,as a matter of fact,he has the president of the province under his control,he is slowly trying to take over the human realm,we must act fast,for time is not on our side.

She told them about her escape, and the mysterious lady she met and the sword of silver and steel she gave her. She told them about their journey together, and how she had discovered her true nature. She told them about the moment when she had finally accepted her destiny, and how she had been transformed into a vampire. The council members listened intently, and when she was finished, they applauded. The head of the council stood and said, "You have been through much, chosen one, But you have come back to us stronger and wiser, truly you are the daughter of your parents,the bravest warriors of our noble clan,"may they continue to rest in peace.....

As the people from the refugee camp made their way to the city, they were filled with a mixture of hope and trepidation. They had never been to such a large and bustling place before, and they were unsure of what to expect. But as they settled into their new surroundings, they began to feel a sense of belonging. They built a small community within the city, and they began to thrive. Their numbers grew, and they became a force to be reckoned with.
