41 IMPLEMENTING CHANGES: PART II

***

... By the way, I was able to use magic again. Not only that, the biggest change that happened is the fact my aura has continued to manifest in all shapes and sizes. Before, it would only appear for a brief second, now, I can almost control it and let it reappear. But sadly, I still can maintain it, nor make it last for a long time.

Since the recent events that happened, a lot has changed. And sometimes, it made me amazed that I get to live and witness all of it with my own eyes. To see the beauty of this world, and to meet new people whilst experiencing new adventures with them. Sometimes, I still feel like it's all a dream, but at most, it is now my life. And, I should continue to live and fight for my life.

Athena placed down her quill as she finished writing her thoughts in her journal. Since she arrived in this new world, she has kept a well recorded detail of her life.

"I wonder what I should do today?"

Lately, the girl has been visiting the rebuild houses and restoring the lands at the back. She decided it was necessary for the villagers to produce their own food as well. With this, they won't have any shortage of food to support them. However, there were still some matters, she needed to handle.

"Fuji, let's go."

It yawned as he awoken from his nap. Despite him being a full grown dog in people's eyes, he was still merely a pup in his kind.

Before leaving, the girl would always bring her cape with her. Even though the villagers are aware of her appearance, the fact her hair suddenly changed might worry them. Since Lirius has still no clue as to why my hair changed, we left it be for now…

The girl immediately headed down and searched for Lirius, for what she was about to do, she needed the help and approval of the man.

"Lirius, are you busy?"

Lirius who was working on some potions stopped what he was doing, he removed his glasses and looked at the door, "Come in."

Athena opened the door slowly as she peeked first at what the man was doing.

"Don't worry, I ain't that busy."

She happily opened the door wider as she walked inside with a big smile on her face, which means she was about to do something which will go against the man's order.

"Don't tell me, you here because you want to do something again?"

"Oh, great Master Lirius."

"Please, spare me the honorific and just tell me what you're planning to do."

Athena looked baffled as she felt annoyed that the man was no fool of her acting anymore, "Fine." The girl went closer to Lirius as she sat on the chair behind him. "Lirius, can you help me?"

"Help, with what?"

"Please, prepare some potions for me."

"What type of potions exactly?" Lirius fears as he already knows what type of potion the girl is asking. But, he rather hears it from her than he says it.

"Ma-mana potions." The girl finally said it as she averted her gaze away from the man, afraid of what he might say.

"Fine," Lirius for once did not argue or complain. For, they have been through so many cycles of arguing already that he felt like all his words were just passing through the girl's other ear. "I'll go gather some herbs,"

Athena was still temporarily unable to react. She just watched as the man grabbed his cape and the herb basket as he walked out of the room. The man used the exit, which connects directly to the gather. However, it was a door that only he can use, for he acted so much enchantment on the door and windows preventing any intruders from entering.

"Fuji, did Lirius just leave without a fight?"

It was not only the girl who was shocked, but also the pup. He has been with the girl all the time and the man was not the type of person to back down on a fight.

Fuji titled his head to the side as if he was saying: "I dunno."

"Fuji, let's go."

Since she couldn't use the same door as Lirius, she hurriedly ran outside the house through the kitchen since it was the closest way to the herb garden and greenhouse.

When she arrived, Lirius was already on his way back with some herbs on his hand.

"Lirius, did I do something wrong?"

"No, you haven't."

"Then, then, why didn't you..."

Lirius looked the girl directly in the eyes and said, "You expected me to say no, so, rather than me saying no, I'll just agree with you. Even if it means you'll be putting your life in danger. By the end of the day, it's your life not mine. All I can do is help you..."

Athena couldn't respond to his words at all, she felt such pain, hearing his words as if he was letting her go or something...

"I mean, we hardly know each other and we've been living with each other for more than a week. And during those times, I almost killed you. Despite you weak state, you'll always go and do things which you shouldn't. I guess, since the day you arrived, you've slowly changed me. Making me see that this life of mine has much better things to do than burying myself in books."

"Lirius, I'm sorry. I know everything you do is for me, but at this moment, I have no choice. Those people need my help, and..." She sighs as she was about to regret the next few words she'll be saying. "Wasn't I born to be a Saintess, isn't it the Saintess responsibility to take care of its people. Even though I may be powerless and am not as talented as you. This life of mine is not mine to keep, in the first place, I've died..."

Athena didn't explain herself further, for the fact the body of her doesn't belong to her. Since the previous owner was a caring person to those indeed, she decided to continue her well in helping others.

"You didn't die, stop saying such words." Lirius found the word vexing for it wasn't her fault her life was always on the line. "Fine, implement the change you want, and I'll be here to support you. Just, don't over do it and let me know if you can't handle it anymore."

"Hmm, I will, I promise."

That afternoon. Everyone gathered at a nearby filled in the village, everyone was all curious as to why they had all gathered. But, when they notice a small land was cleaned, plowed, they all realize what it meant.

"Everyone, heaven has blessed us a new opportunity. I hope we all work together as we build a better future for us all." The Elder Chief announced it to everyone. As they all rejoice in seeing the fertile land.

A few distance away from them, Athena was being care by Lirius. The fact she was an Elementalist has been kept a secret from the villagers. All they know is that she is a Divine Healer. Since, a Divine Healer can't be an Elementalist, if such news of her being able to use such magic. Then, it won't be long till the Empire will find out about her existence.

"Are you alright?" Lirius said as he checked on the girl's condition whilst handing her another potion.

"I'm fine, I guess, I overdid it." Athena started coughing so much as she felt her throat was burning and dry.

"Drink this."

"Thanks," She responded as she started drinking the different potions Lirius was giving her.

"Better?"

"Hmm, much better."

"My Lady, are you alright?" Serfred has come to check the situation since he has finished his task.

"I'm fine, did you inform Diana of what I told you."

"Yes, everything went according to your plan."

"Good, then starting tomorrow, at dawn, I'll secretly bless the land."

Serfred carried the girl as she drifted off to sleep, to use such an amount of energy at once must have been so exhausting. Lirius followed from behind, and when the coast was clear.

He whispered and enchantment which caused the atmosphere around him to change. The people were all started when they felt a warm air blew across them, and suddenly more luminuex started to appear at the field the girl had just restored.
