Chapter 70

" damn that Rizeviem he really went all out this time " cursed Roxanne as she looked at her opponent. Although she guessed this monster would come, she never thought that Rizeviem would release him after another power boost. 

Yes this monster shouldn't be this powerful after he was sealed into a poor magician. At most he was on the threshold of Ultimate class. But now the magician is no more. If she has to take an educated guess Rizeviem should have made a deal with the monster that should have been inside. 

He made the monster fully cooperate in his experiments. And since the human magician's soul is no more. Rizeviem must have promised him a better vessel in exchange. Now this monster is no simple human who can use devil magic.It is now a being who is a fusion of a human, devil, vampire and many more species. 

And if this isn't bad enough, this guy has perfect control over his body. So unlike the last time he wouldn't be killed just because Sirzechs released his true form. And wouldn't doubt for a second that Rizeviem didn't give him something to nullify Sirzechs attacks. 

' Ciel activates the Dimension barrier to hold him. We can't let our battle affect the others' Roxanne said internally. 

[ Yes master I shall deploy it immediately ] Ciel replied as she got into action. A dome like barrier appeared covering Roxanne and the monster completely isolating both of them. 

The monster made no effort to stop Roxanne. It just glanced at the barrier and thought ' weak'. What it didn't know was that this barrier has three layers. There are two outer layers that act as a weak barrier to fool anyone who tries to analyse it. And in the middle is where the true barrier is. And this barrier is not weak as it could completely seal off a Satan class being without taking any damage.

After everything was set in place Roxanne looked at the monster again. The monster hadn't moved since it landed on the ground. But due to his presence the environment started to change. The air began to lose its transparency as it began to be visible as a purple mist. The ground was already showing signs of decaying. Roxanne narrowed her eyes at this. 

' Ciel, what do you suggest I do here? If I release even one of my seals the environment might as well be unusable in the future. And I can't seem to hold this guy back if I don't put in some effort. ' 

[ Analysing target…. Solution found. Master, don't worry about the environment, I will handle the aftermath . Master should focus on keeping him at bay ] 

Hearing her words Roxanne grinned and said, " well then let's get this dance started" . And in the next moment she released some of her fallen angel bloodline seals. She then made several weapons out of the death energy she released.

With a wave of her hand she fired these weapons at the monster. The weapons broke through the sound barrier as they were fired. 

The monster, not to be outdone, controlled the blood in the surroundings and created a cover for him to tank the weapons. And with a roar monster copied what Roxanne did and made blood projectiles to throw at her. 

Roxanne just snapped her fingers and made every projectile freeze mid air. She then made a gesture and threw them back at him. And to further increase the damage she added some balls of power of destruction to the mix. 

But the frozen blood speres seemed to do more damage than the power of destruction balls. 

And witnessing this Roxanne clicked her tongue in annoyance. She only wanted to test the waters but , 'damn that guy , he really went and made this guy have high resistance to the power of destruction. ' she thought with annoyance. 

Suddenly the monster turned into a flock of bats and started attacking Roxanne with poison. Roxanne dodged most of the attacks that would land on her. As for the rest she let them fall onto the ground. The ground sizzled as the poison acid melted everything it touched. 

This exchange went for a while until Roxanne who was dodging suddenly turned into a puff of smoke. This managed to distract the bats as they searched for their prey. That was until they heard " shadow barrage "

The ground trembled as spikes came down from the melted places to impale the bats. And due to the surprise attack most of them were injured or killed. 

The attacks didn't stop there. The spike that were missed and the ones that were broken by the bats began to mix together as they fired back at the bats. 

This went on until every bat was killed. After they were all eliminated Roxanne came out from the ground, no more specifically she came out from the shadows. 

She looked at her surroundings and nodded satisfied, " well that should take care of that monster " . 

And no sooner than she said those words a gigantic claw came out from her front. Looking at it she saw that the monster had pierced her heart from a sneak attack. 

And contrary to what the monster expected Roxanne's face didn't go into despair instead she flashed him a wide maniacal grin. 

" I got you " saying so she gripped the hand that was piercing her and in swift motion she pulled it out of her body. And as a result of this action the monster's arm was completely ripped off. 

The monster screamed in pain for the first time since it came here. It glared hatefully at Roxanne who had no injuries in her body. The one the monster pierced was just a shadow clone. As someone who survived in the Land Shadows at the age of 10, how could Roxanne do the beginner's mistake letting her guard down that easily. 

Roxanne eyed the monster with her wide smile as she disintegrated the arm in her hand. She knew that this guy couldn't regenerate since it still has only one hand. ' well not surprising since his body's foundation is still that of a human ' She thought. 

Although the monster's body went through various genetic mutations it still has the foundation of a human body. You see, human bodies have the ability to adapt to almost anything. But even that adaptation ability has its limit. So this is why this monster who even though has the characteristics of a vampire doesn't have their regeneration ability.

And if it had the regeneration ability then it would also develop a weakness to the silver or holy element which this monster seemed to lack. Fallen angels unconsciously use a bit of holy element in their attacks after all. 

" Well why don't we go for round two " Roxanne said as she provoked the monster with her hands. And like she expected the monster enraged charged at her. ' oh it seems like I can finish this guy without revealing any cards ' Roxanne thought as she saw the monster has already lost its rationality already. Well fighting an animal is way easier than a human after all.
