PROVOCATION 5

"Why on earth the Prince keep accusing me of hitting Wu Qi? I don't hit him, for God's sake!" Rui shouted furiously.

"Don't you know that the Prince defends Wu Qi? You should know it, by God! He is favored by the Prince! Don't offend him even the slightest!" Lin grumbled.

"But, I really forget, what actually happened just now? Is it true that we have hit Wu Qi?" Payloth asked.

"Huh, ignore that! Thinking of it just makes me headache! It's evening now, our time to have fun has come!" Rui took a glass from the porch's floor. "A delicious wine! Let's drink!"

"Yeah... I bring a lot of it today. We may drink until we get drunk," Somebody said while putting wine cups on the seat covers.

"This is exactly what I've been waiting for! I want to take part in your invitation to night gatherings just because of this!" Lin immediately took one of the cups. Her eyes glared excitedly, she sipped her saliva that almost dripped down. "I never drink this good wine before! I won't miss the chance to get this wine!"

"Hey, however, where does this wine come from?" Payloth asked.

"I've said it before, it comes faaarrrr... from the northwest..."

"Really? I think I've tasted every kind of wine, and even including Persian or Tartar wine, but nothing is as delicious as this!"

"Well... it means your knowledge is still not enough." That person laughed. "It doesn't matter, after all. Just drink it. Look, your friend is about to take your part."

Payloth's eyes widened. Rui indeed was eager to take his part. "Hey! That's mine!"

The chirping sound of night crickets now lost to the clamor and drunken laughter of the ten new team members. They continued to drink the mysterious wine, without knowing what was actually being contained inside it. They just kept drinking, again and again.

"Okay, guys, enough for today." The person said when Rui persisted to add his wine.

Rui turned berserk. He kicked the table, "You have the guts not to give me?!? I'll hit you!!!"

Rui was just about to hit the person, yet they moved more quickly than him. They locked his elbow which was positioning under the right arm, then pressed very hard Rui's Cheze acupuncture point. Rui screamed in pain at once, and now he was unable to swing his hand since it turned palsied.

"Calm down... calm yourself down... Rui dear..." That person stared deeply at Rui's eyes, talking in a seductive voice. Like magic, their voice was able to make Rui speechless. He was now sitting, being enervate, while that person was rubbing the parts located in the middle of Rui's both wrists and palms. And also pressed the midpoint between the inner ends of his eyebrows. "If you want to get mad, then get mad at Li Heng. Get mad at Guo Songmi... And get mad at the Prince. Exactly... definitely... get mad at all of them..."

Rui's eyes began to shrink, and he was now starting to get sleepy, eyes half-closed.

That person turned their gaze to other colleagues. "You too. Get mad at the Prince, and at his cronies... To the Ming and their followers!" They shouted aloud, making everyone shocked - but it indeed the reactions they hoped from them. "Hate them. Hate them. Hate them all! Forever. Forever!"

Just like Rui, their eyes all turned glazed, continued to shrink, and finally, stayed in a half-closed condition.

"You will follow my instructions?" They asked.

Slowly but sure, all of them nodded their heads.
