Ilona reached out and gently took Mason's handsome face in her hands. She studied his lovely, tired blue eyes and couldn't believe her luck. She loved this man, and he loved her too. She had never loved or been loved like this.
Mason smiled and turned his head so he could gently kiss her palm. Ilona blushed as her heart fluttered wildly in her chest.
"We need to get to the cave, beauty. Right now, if anything were to happen, I couldn't help you. I'm still so cold, and my legs and arms feel like they have weights attached."
"Alright," Ilona moved to get up, "We'll both have more energy now that we've had something to eat."
Mason nodded his agreement then groaned as he struggled to try to get up. Ilona quickly ducked under his arm, pulling it over her shoulders to help him to stand. He reached out and pushed off the wall to help him as well, but his hand didn't move right as he tried to do so.
