The first thought on Bella's mind when she woke up was that the bedsheet smelt like lavender. She rolled on the bed with her eyes closed. She wondered why the bed felt so different and what time it was. She also wondered if Dan was going to want her to go to the gym with him as usual or let her be now that he knew she was not a guy.

Her eyes snapped open, and she sat up abruptly when the events of the night came back to her. She looked around the room, hoping she was back in her time, but her brows creased in a puzzled frown when she realized she was still in the past, judging by the state of the room and furniture.

What? How come she could sleep here? Where was this place? The palace? Where was Dan? How long had she been asleep? Seeing the ray of sunlight entering the room from a little crack in the window, she could tell it was day already, which meant she had slept for over five hours.
