"I don't need all this, for crying out loud! You should..." 

"Sshhh! You nag too much! You're going to ruin this if you keep moving about!" Joan snapped at Bella as she added the finishing touches to the makeup.

"We have to make the similarities between you and 'Ben' a little less obvious using makeup. We don't want him being suspicious or anything," Joan said as she stepped back to take a look at Bella's face. 

"Whatever. At the rate you're going, he'd snap my head off for keeping him waiting," Bella said impatiently. 

"Not when he doesn't know you're Ben. Women always keep men waiting, so it isn't a big deal," Joan assured her with a smile. 

"You're so pretty. I really wish you didn't have to pretend to be a guy all the time. But then again, if you hadn't, we probably never would have met Dan this way," Joan said with a sigh as she took out the curlers she had placed on Bella's hair.
