Neither Bella nor Dan said a word to each other during the drive home. They were both lost in their own thoughts. What were the chances that it was all a mere coincidence? How was it possible that he had just had a kind of vision of himself dressed in that exact outfit, and now he was seeing it in a painting? Not just any painting but one which had been discovered underwater? Dan mused.
The rest of the conversation after seeing the painting had gone in a blur, but somehow Dan had managed to hear Kathleen say the name of the person in the painting was Prince Ian. None of it made any sense to him, yet it all made sense, even though he just couldn't explain anything that was happening. Dan was itching to ask Bella what she knew or thought about the painting, but he couldn't bring himself to do that. Thankfully he had made up an excuse for them to leave after some time when it seemed like the pizza guy wasn't going to come.
