Ben Knew Something

It was morning, and as usual, Joan and Drake walked into his bedroom to prepare him for the day. Joan and Drake were bubbling with excitement because they had just one day left before leaving Lumba.

Immediately they walked into the bedroom and shut the door behind them. Ben smiled at Joan, "Guess what?" He asked, and she exchanged a look with Drake before looking at Ben.

"The princess has returned home?" She asked hopefully but uncertainly.

"Well, that's very close to it, but not it. She isn't home yet, but we've heard from her," Ben announced, and Joan screeched loudly and quickly slapped her hands over her lips to keep down her voice as tears gathered in her eyes.

"You're not joking, right?" She asked, and when Ben smiled, she collapsed on the floor and broke into a sob of relief.
