Family History

SIX HUNDRED AND ELEVEN CENTURIES LATER.

Six hundred centuries ago The Mathews shaped a small village into a kingdom, also villagers' views changed as they no longer think selfishly. They knew the wrongs and the rights, the truths and the lies.

Travelers found homes in the village, they gradually increased and it became a kingdom, having a capital of it's own. The once small village now has it's capital and villages. The small village was once called Delah, but after it became a kingdom the name was changed to Zeyan the kingdom Of Peace.

The Mathews were honored and respected for the things they did for the villagers. They were almost worshiped for the miracles they performed.

Even though everything changed the people still required a ruler, however the Mathews were solemn to never associate themselves with politics.

Sir Mathew had a very close friend who was drenched with richness. The man was a businessman but he loved the Mathews and grew attached to them.

Sir Mathew decided to give the people a ruler since he could only give them salvation and nothing more. He had a calm discussion with his friend and he offered to be the people's ruler and promised to lead them to the path the Mathews had created.

King Oscar was made the people's ruler as he took an oath on the altar to never mislead the people, he swore to make their land as green as ever with enough food that will attract the other kingdoms. Oscar made the kingdom grand and guarded, he was the first king to rule them.

He made the land fertile, their money was enough and they never lacked anything. The resources grew to an unbeatable amount as foreigners came to trade with them.

The land was spacious and the people were joyful.

Isla Mathews smiled as she read through the church history book. Her family history was very refreshing to read.

"Isla can you please arrange all of that, for Christ sake you've gone through all of that for a thousand times," Lady Fiona almost pleaded when her eyes stared at the big heavy books and scattered papers.

"Not yet Lady Fiona. I still need to know a little more about my history," she smiled.

"Then you should read to understand and not read to mess up the place," Lady Fiona said, bending down to big up some papers.

"I do read to understand but reading with the thought of understanding sometimes is almost impossible," Isla said and stood up from the chair to pick the papers on the floor.

Lady Fiona yawned "Hmm really. I strangely feel the need to know more," She said ironically.

"I recommend you relax a little so that it will reflect on your postures and actions," Isla suggested.

"If only you can make that possible for me" Lady Fiona remarked.

They arranged the table next. Lady Fiona took the book and stalked around the shelf in the library.

"I can't believe Pappa will be celebrating his birthday soon. He is growing old with everyday that comes by," Lady Fiona voiced out absent minded. She gently put back the books on the shelf.

Isla paused for a second "I guess you could say that, though let's not forget my birthday comes a month after his," Isla reminded in an attempt to change the topic.

"Of course. who will dare to forget, forgetting your birthday is the same as committing a sin." Lady Fiona conveyed which made Isla chuckled.

"Then I am reassured," Isla said. She joined Fiona, putting the books back.

"If I decide on having a banquet pappa will blatantly refuse," Lady Fiona said in a low tone.

"Oh that is certain. He will rather listen to confessions instead," Isla reasoned to her.

"Okay we should get ready for the evening Mass," Lady Fiona said after putting the books and arranging the place.

Isla nodded and walked out of the library together with her.
