28.Triple mistaken identities, coincidence?

" Our little Sherry is too beautiful more than even the goddess, how can I ignore her. " Hua Chen said with a wide smile. Sherry pursed her lips when she heard him.

 " Grandpa Chen, your sugary words are pleasing to the ears but they won't coax me."

 Old Hua was no longer surprised to hear Sherry's shameless words. He was used to her shamelessness and narcism. He only felt embarrassed being taunted by a small girl in public.

 He looked at Liam, his eyes pleading for help since the little girl only listened to her mother and brother. He felt helpless as he didn't want to anger the little princess any longer. She was his little comrade.

 Liam stared at the old man's huge smile and frowned.

 " Grandpa Chen, your smile is creepy. "

Old Hua's eyes widened and he coughed twice to clear the awkward embarrassing atmosphere.

 ' This brat !! '

 " Ahahaha hahahah... "

 A soft laugh came from the woman seated on a chair in the dining table. The woman couldn't hold it anymore and burst out in laughter. The trio is really weird.

 Ellen remembered she had seen a woman when she entered the room. Old Hua also directed the three to have their seats. He went forward to introduce them.

 " This is Mrs Li. Mrs Li, this is Eleanor Lee, an old friend. "

Ellen's eyes twitched. ' Old my a*s , who's old? Fool !! '

 She eyed the woman who slowly and elegantly rose on her feet. She had a blue embroidered dress and her hair was meticulously styled. She looked refined, elegant and noble. She seemed to be in her late forties but her face oozed youthfulness. It was well taken care of leaving the impression of a generous and gentle woman.

 " Hello Mrs Li. "

 Ellen greeted but felt something was a miss.

 The woman was staring at her with wide opened eyes. She seemed frozen.

 Ellen knitted her brows and wondered whether they had met before. ' But no, it's rare for me to forget such a pretty face. Or perhaps I've beaten up her relative and she recognized me... " Ellen froze at the thought.

 When Mrs Li saw the short beautiful woman, she froze on the spot when she saw her face. She gasped and covered her wide opened mouth with both hands while her eyes popped open.

 A thought came to her mind but she immediately dismissed it as extremely impossible. She had goosebums just by the thought of it.

 Her mind was hazy and she stood dazed. Her eyes unconsciously welled up.

 ' Impossible! Impossible! '

 Sadness clouded her features. She rubbed her eyes and shook her head. She stared at Ellen from head to toe and that's when her eyes fell on the two children beside her.

 She jumped in shock, her eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat. It started pounding hard and fast. She felt like a stone had been stuffed into her chest and she gasped for air.

 She stepped back and held the table behind her for support when she felt her legs becoming numb and losing strength. She looked at the children with a complicated gaze. The little girl had an innocent and cute face while the boy had a cold expression on his face.

 The entire moment was tensed and awkward.

 Liam looked at the woman with a sharp , cold and complicated gaze while Sherry looked at her innocently. The woman was so pitiful. She looked like she had been snatched from her favourite candy. She wanted to hug her but she remembered being taught to never approach strangers.
