23.Little Sherry's accident

The elevator stopped at the top most floor, the so called VVIP level. 'These rich people do know how to enjoy life.' Ellen thought. The level was more exquisite than the others.

 Ellen was holding Liam's hand while Sherry was walking a meter infront of them.

 She wanted so much to see her good comrade grandpa Chen but many people had delayed them including that ugly aunt at the reception. How can she look down on little Ellen, was she asking for a beating?

 Sherry shook her little head in displeasure. ' What a retard. '

 Liam lifted his head and peered at Ellen. " Mommy, why did you decline that director's offer? "

 Ellen was stunned by the question. Her little boy was always serious and acted like a little mature young man unlike the childish Sherry.

 " I hate getting busy and being ordered around. I prefer my soft life, sleeping like there's no tomorrow!" 

 Ellen exclaimed childishly with a huge smile on her face while tugging Liam's arm. The smile vanished when she saw the despising look on her son's face.

 " Ok, okay ! The entertainment industry is too troublesome for me. It's full of dirty and pretentious people. I prefer a quiet life. " She said with a serious face.

 She came back to the country with the intention of living a peaceful life with her two sweet babies and her tiny group of friends.

 " Why do you ask? Does my baby want to join? " Ellen raised her brows playfully. Liam shook his head. Ellen laughed lightly at his scowling face, her babies were indeed adorable.

 " Why don't you want to? There are many hotties who'd come throwing themselves at you, do you want to waste the opportunity? " Her laughter was melodious as she teased the boy.

 Liam's eyes widened and a flush crept up his face. His eyes darkened.

 " Why are you giving me those scary eyes, don't you want to build a little harem for yourself?"

 Ellen shook with laughter. It was fun teasing this little block of ice. Liam crinkled his nose and shot her a cold look, " mommy you're so annoying! "

 Not far away from where they were, in another private room. A young and beautiful woman was seated, her head leaning on the shoulder of a young man in his late twenties.

 Her white skin was fair and she was wearing a white knee-length dress and the curls of her long black hair were let loose on her shoulders.

 Her eyes were crystal clear and her palm size face was beautiful. She looked pure and innocent.

 The man wore an expensive custom made suit. His short black hair was combed back and his ink like eyes were cold and superior.

 " Brother Rong, thank you for helping me get this role. It means so much for me. I love you very much brother Rong." The young woman spoke affectionately burying her face in the man's embrace. A flash of expectance was visible on her clear eyes as she glanced at him.

 The man's eyes darkened. It quickly vanished as he lightly stroke her soft hair.

 " You deserve the best. Choose what you want to order. Director Shen is about to arrive. " He handed her the menu.

 The young woman blinked her eyes to hide the flash of disappointment in them. She smiled sweetly and took the menu.

 She gritted her teeth and clenched her dress tightly below the table with her left fist. She lowered her eyes at the menu to hide anger and pain. Her lowered long lashes covered her glistening eyes.
