576 Lovesick Fool

Arriving at the penthouse that evening, Samantha found a MacBook placed on the kitchen countertop. It was the latest thirteen-inch MacBook Pro with 2.0 gigahertz and sixteen gigabytes memory. It was wrapped with a bow and had a card on it. 

She opened the card which read, "Thank you for coming with me. This is my apology gift."

It thrilled Samantha. She had always wanted to get a laptop, and now she had a MacBook! One worth two thousand dollars. She could never get herself to buy one since she barely made enough money to live by. 

Her gift also included a case and a leather sling bag that she could use at school and put inside the MacBook as well. 

She then heard Alfred clear his throat. She turned with her flushed face and said, "This is too much, but thank you. I don't know how I will ever repay you."

"How about... you can stay with me... forever," he teased. "I'm just kidding, but they say... jokes are half meant."
