"Someone got there before us,"
Devin said with remorse, but seeing Sabrina's dismayed gaze, he was even guiltier due to the promise he made her before leaving this morning.
"Who?" Sabrina asked, wishing that Devin had not insisted on dropping her off. Perhaps he would not have missed it if he had not insisted.
"Matilda's father," Devin said seriously. Sabrina was slightly relieved. It was still for the same course, so they were still winners, but she also wondered and asked,
"How did he know?"
Devin shook his head and said, "I don't know, but he must also be searching for Stanley because of the video. Don't forget that he has more resources than we do due to his line of work."
"I just hope we'll be able to know the one behind it," Sabrina said anxiously.
"We hope so too, but if Stanley did it alone, then I would prepare for his funeral. I doubt the general would spare him," Devin shrugged again and spoke.
