Early Years

Professor Oak, being unable to find Ichigo's parents, decides to raise him himself. His granddaughter Daisy helps out sometimes along with Gary's parents.

<Timeskip 5 Years Later>

Years go by and Ichigo keeps away from Ash and Gary for the most part.

"I don't plan on traveling with them or becoming their rival so I will just do my own thing."

When he was 5 he learned he could sense Aura and use it in a way different from the movie. He eventually meets a strange old man in the forest who happens to be an Aura Guardian one day.

"Hmm? You have some powerful Aura there kid. But it seems to flow differently than my own. Hmmm. Ah! you must be an Aura Master!"

Ichigo not remembering anything like Aura Masters being in pokemon asks, "what's an Aura Guardian and Aura Master?"

"An aura Guardian is someone who uses Aura to protect pokemon and their habitats. We are similar to a combination of Trainer and Ranger. Aura Masters are those who condense their Aura inside their body and gain eternal youth and life. Unfortunately all the Aura Masters died during a natural disaster."

"So I can become an Aura Master"

"Yes. I know about them because I found some ruins belonging to their people when I was a kid. That's also how I became an Aura Guardian. Aura Masters are broken up into five levels. Disciple, Adept, Expert, Master, and Grand Master. If one becomes an Expert they will stop aging once their body fully matures and will live longer. Once one becomes a Master they will never die of old age. And Grand Masters can impart the power of an Aura Master to both people and pokemon."

"How do I become an Aura Master?"

"You must condense the Aura in your body. Once it becomes like the morning fog you will be an Adept, once it becomes liquid you will be an Expert, and once it becomes a crystal you will be a Master. As for becoming a Grand Master, you need to fuse that crystal with your soul."

"Can you teach me?"

"No, as I mentioned I'm an Aura Guardian so I can't teach you how to condense your Aura. I can teach you how to control it though."

"Okay."

<Timeskip 5 Years Later>

Ichigo spent five years training under the mysterious Aura Guardian. One day the Aura Guardian left a note saying that he has nothing left to teach Ichigo and was going to continue his journey.

A few months after that Ichigo participates in a pokemon camp run by Professor Oak. It's during this time he meets Serena. During the camp Serena gets lost in the woods and is attacked by a beedrill. Ichigo who was passing by scares the beedrill off with an Aura wave.

"T-t-thank y-you for s-s-saving me."

"No problem. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine... Ouch" When she tries to stand up she stumbles.

"Hm? Looks like you hurt your ankle." Ichigo turns around and crouches down, "here get on. I'll carry you"

"O-Okay."

Before leaving Ichigo spots a large egg. "Hmm? I think that's a Pokemon egg. I'll take you to everyone else and come back for it later."

And he does just that. When Professor Oak sees the egg he is surprised because he can't identify it.

"Ichigo where did you find that egg?"

"I found it where Serena was attacked. Can I keep it? I want to make it my partner after it hatches."

"Hmm. Okay but only after I check the nest to make sure it was abandoned otherwise youhave to return it to it's parents."

"Okay!"

Before going with Professor Oak Ichigo checks on Serena. "How's your ankle?"

"It's okay just sprained. Um, Ichigo after the camp is over I'm moving to the Kalos Region. I heard you plan on traveling when you get older. I was hoping you could come visit me while your on your journey?"

"Hmm? Okay, but I don't know when I'll be able go to Kalos. It's pretty far so I will probably go to a few other regions first."

"Oh." Serena says sadly.

"Don't worry though I'll definitely visit you though!"

"Mmm. Ah, Professor Oak is calling you. So I guess we will see each other in a few years?"

"Yup! See you then Serena."

Ichigo heads out with Professor Oak and discovers the nest had been abandoned for some time and is aloud to keep the egg.

"I can't wait to start my journey and make Serena a part of my harem. Oh May and Dawn as well. Maybe Misty depending on how she developed. If shes hot there is no way I will let her travel with that idiot Ash."
