Present day in the magical realm.
King James Bwalya the king of the dragons is pacing in front of his sister's secret chamber as the luminari treats her. Luminari is a term used to refer to healers in the oval kingdom.
For the past two days, there has been some kind of energy coming from Princess Rose's sleeping form. Twenty-one years ago his young sister Princess Rose, came back to him half-dead and in the process of transitioning to a vampire. He can still remember how pale she looked. Every time he remembers that day and what the brotherhood did to his young sister his anger comes out. No one apart from his trusted men and seer kangwa knows that Princess Rose is in the Oval Kingdom. Everyone thinks she is still in the hands of the Brotherhood. He made sure the rumor that the brotherhood had his sister spread so that the brotherhood would not come for her again.
"Your majesty," the luminari calls him, interrupting his thoughts.
"Yes,"
"I have checked Her Highness and there is nothing wrong with her. The energy that's coming from her body is from within her. I think she is trying to fight the vampire venom." The luminari explains.
"Do you mean there is a way for her to fight the venom after all these years?" King James asks. His happiness can be seen in his eyes.
"Yes, my king, that's what I am saying. Our princess will come back to us soon. I have given her the same portion we have been giving her to help stabilize her." The luminari says with a hopeful expression.
King James's face lights up with joy at the news. "Thank you, luminari David." He expresses his sincere gratitude to the luminari. "This is wonderful news. I have waited so long for this moment."
The king walks into his sister's chambers and sits on the edge of her bed, gazing at her peaceful, sleeping face. "There is good news, little one," he says softly, his voice filled with warmth and affection. "You will be able to wake up soon, and we are going to make up for all the lost years. I miss you so much, my dear sister."
King James remains by her side, his heart swelling with relief and anticipation. After all this time, his beloved sister may finally be able to break free of the vampire's curse that has kept her in this slumbering state.
A gentle knock at the door interrupts the king's reverie. "Come in," he calls out, reluctantly tearing his gaze away from his sister.
One of his trusted t guards enters, looking slightly nervous. "Your majesty, seer Kangwa is here, and he is requesting your audience."
King James nods understandingly. "Very well, send him in." The king takes one last look at his sister before stepping out to meet the seer, his mind racing with the possibilities of his sister's impending awakening.
"Greetings Great seer," King James greets seer Kangwa one of the greatest seers alive. He is respected in the entire magical realm.
"Greetings your Majesty, I hope I am not disturbing you."
"No great seer."
"Your Majesty, do you remember what I told you twenty-one years ago?" Seer Kangwa asks as he sits down.
"Yes, you told me that the prophecy that had been talked about for thousands of years would be fulfilled by one of the Bwalya bloodline dragons." King James responds sitting across the seer.
"Very good, I am glad you remember because her powers have been awakened."
"Whose powers, Great seer?" The king asks, confused by the seer's words.
"Your niece, the child of prophecy."
"What do you mean my niece? I have no niece."
"What did Princess Rose tell you when she came back to this kingdom twenty-one years ago?" The seer asks.
"She told me the brotherhood had kidnapped her because they wanted her dragon magic. She managed to escape them and came straight home."
"Yes, that's right. The brotherhood did kidnap her but did she tell you what happened to the child?"
"She said the child died when the brotherhood had put the vampire venom in her system." King James says.
"Mmmm, interesting." Seer Pangea says in amusement.
King James looks at the old seer who is still smiling. "Great seer, is there something I don't know?"
"Everything the princess told you is true. But she omitted some things. Let me ask you a question, Your Majesty. Have you ever heard of any being who has escaped the brotherhood?"
"No, I have not."
"And yet your sister did."
"I have never given it much thought. Do you know how my sister managed to escape the brotherhood Great Seer?"
"Yes, I saw everything."
"Did someone help her?" King James asks wanting to know what happened twenty-one years ago.
"Yes," the seer replies with a serious look. The playful look he had earlier is completely gone.
"Who?"
"Her daughter?"
"How? Did she give birth after she was captured?"
"No, the child was still in her womb. Princess Rose had already cloaked her pregnancy and hid the child's heartbeat before she was taken by the brotherhood. When they forced the change on her, they did not know she was pregnant." Seer Kangwa explains.
"I don't understand. How can the Brotherhood not see through her cloak? I thought they had the dark witches and the dark warlocks."
"They do have the dark witches and the dark warlocks but you seem to forget what kind of dragon magic Princess Rose has."
"Illusion and compulsion magic." King James states. Remembering one of the reasons why their parents never allowed Princess Rose outside of the Oval Kingdom. They feared some beings would take advantage of her kindness and lure her into doing something evil.
"No one has ever known that Princess Rose has compulsion magic apart from your late parents, you, and me. The brotherhood knew about her illusion magic but not compulsion and she used that to her advantage. When the brotherhood's luminari was examining her, she compelled her not to tell the brotherhood about the baby and to kill herself after. The luminari was found dead an hour later. The brotherhood thought Princess Rose had put a deadly spell on her. " The seer explains.
"Forgive me for interrupting you great seer, but I want to know how the child helped her escape."
"Princess Rose cast a binding spell before she was taken. To bind herself to her child so that she would know where her child is at all times in case they are separated. Because of the binding spell, the child managed to temporarily transfer her magic to her mother which made it possible for her to shift into her dragon form and escape" The seer explains.
"Where did she go after escaping?"
"She went to Crystal Kingdom, to the Great Mountains to be exact."
"She went to meet her hybrid mate?" King James asks anger evident in his eyes. " I forbade her from ever talking to that mate of hers. Is he the one with her child? I am going to burn him alive."
"Calm down your Majesty, let me finish. She went to the great mountains but not to meet her mate, she went to meet Lady Lungu."
"What?"
"Yes, after escaping she went to lady lungu. I am sure she is the only one who knows where exactly the child is."
"She trusted a stranger to take care of her child instead of her brother." King James states not believing his ears.
"It's not like did not trust you to take care of her child, she just knew that the last person that the brotherhood would think she would meet was lady lungu. She knew that if she came to you the brotherhood would have found her. She was forced to trust the one being she would never have trusted in normal sucumtancess. " The seer explains.
"Is the child with lady lungu?"
"No, the child is in the human realm. After meeting Lady Lungu she went to the human realm where she gave birth."
"What? Did she leave the child in that filthy realm? Does the child even know who she is?"
"She left the child in the good hands of the guardians. And about knowing what she is, as I told you earlier, her powers have been awakened so she knows who she is and where she comes from."
"I should send some of my strongest warriors to go to the human realm and retrieve her. She needs to be with her kind." King James says.
"Yes, we need to do that, but you do not need to send anyone to the human realm because she is coming to the magical realm. Lord lungu already sent his daughters to check on her."
"He already knows?"
"Yes, he does. The seer in charge of the great mountains had a vision about her. He thought it was Princess Rose but Lady Lungu already knew that it was not the princess."
"Have they managed to find her?"
"I am not about that, but in my vision, I saw your niece in the great mountains. If you want to meet her go there." The seer says.
"Thank you Great seer for informing me about this." King James says in gratitude.
"Your Majesty, before I leave I would love to know if there are any changes in Princess Rose's condition."
"Yes, there are some changes, for the past two days there has been a strong aura coming from her. Before you came I was talking to the luminari who told me that she is fighting the vampire venom." King James explains.
"It's because of the binding spell. Even far away the child is transferring her magic."
"Does this mean that they are bound together?" King James asks.
The seer nodded solemnly. "Yes, bound together by an unbreakable magical tether. We need to unbind them when she gets here."
"Why? If their bond is making it possible for her to fight the vampire venom then is it not a good idea to let their binding be?"
"No, your Majesty, it's making the child's magic unstable. I will leave you to think about what you are going to do." The seer says as he leaves the room. King James looks at him as he walks out not knowing what to do.
