Grandpa Zach's Invitation

"One of my friends saw you guys there and informed me about it. She thought he was your boyfriend," Amanda said softly.

"So are you going to tell me who you were with at the cafe or should I go and find out by myself?' Amanda asks expectantly.

"Ok, I am going to tell you everything so you will stop with all these questions," Bella finally conceded defeat. Even though she managed to hide the fact that she met Ethan at the cafe, Amanda she knows will continue bugging her until she spilt the truth.

"Do you know Ethan Michael, the youngest multi-billionaire and the owner of the largest technology company in the country?" Bella asked. She went ahead with her narration when Amanda nodded affirmatively to her question.

"He is the guy who sent his friend to bring me to him at the hospital. He also stopped me today on my way home….,"

"What? The famous playboy stopped you? Why on earth would he do that?" Amanda asked in amazement.

Bella went ahead to recount all that transpired between her and Ethan in the cafe. She didn't forget to also repeat the words he told her to Amanda.

At the end of her narration, Amanda was left as angry as she was when the jerk spewed that nonsense to her in the cafe.

"Why would he say such a thing to you? Does he think that all women are the same? How dare that scum thinks he can buy you over with money?" Amanda said angrily. The way she talked was if the one sitting in front of her was Ethan.

"He should thank his stars that I wasn't there when he uttered that gibberish. I would have taught him if I was there," Amanda said fiercely, tightening her fist as she spoke.

"What nonsense! If he approaches you again to say rubbish, don't just stand and listen to him, show him that you are different from the other women with a slap. I am sure he will never come close to you if you embarrass him like that".

Her words made Bella laugh. I am sure if Amanda was with me when he said those things she would have done something stupid. She hates it when men look down on women because they have money.

After their discussion,  Bella went to her room so that she could take her bath. On coming out of the bathroom she saw her phone ringing. When she saw the name of the caller, she quickly answered the call.

"Hello Grandpa, how are you doing?" Bella greeted excitedly.

"I am fine, dear. I called to remind you of tomorrow, so that you won't use the excuse that you forgot," Grandpa Zach joked with a smile.

"Grandpa, you have been singing about this to me for the past week, so how can I forget about it?" Bella replied playfully. "Although I want to attend the party, you haven't told me where you are holding the party. I hope you are not trying to hold the party in your hometown?" She asked.

"Don't worry, I am holding the party in a very beautiful venue. You will be surprised when you see it," Grandpa Zach said, getting Bella curious with the way he talked.

"Grandpa, where exactly is this beautiful place? Why are you sounding so mysterious all of a sudden," Bella asked playfully.

"That is a secret Bella. You will know where I am holding the party in due time. Just exercise a bit of patience," Grandpa said beaming. Bella decided not to keep on pressing for the answer since the elderly man won't say it.

"Ok, grandpa, but make sure you send the address of the venue to me on time".

" Don't worry about that, I will send a driver to pick you, girls, up?" Grandpa said.

Because Bella was distracted by the noise coming from the direction of the bathroom, she didn't hear Grandpa Zach's last sentence.

Curious to know why she was hearing the sound of running water, Bella asked Grandpa to hold on while she went to confirm what was the problem.

When she got there, true to her guess it was truly the sound of running water gushing out from the tap she left open.

Bella thanked God that she realised it sooner or else the whole bathroom would have been flooded by water. She went back to continue her conversation with grandpa.

"What did you say about the address of the venue, Grandpa?" Bella asked after carrying the cell phone from the table she kept it on.

"I will send a car to pick you girls up," Grandpa repeated his words.
