Upcoming Death!

Outside of the Blue Federation, an asteroid could be seen heading towards the planet. Strangely enough, the asteroid seemed transparent.

A space lieutenant could be seen leaning on his chair. Due to the Federation's advanced technology, the gravity in the spaceship is relatively the same as earth.

"Hmm?", The space lieutenant grunted. "That seems to be a rock, wait!", the lieutenant shot up and ran out of the room. "It's a damn asteroid!"

The lieutenant was confused. How could the asteroid bypass all of the space rock sensors surrounding the planet?

And so he rushed to report to his captain.

After a multitude of turns, the lieutenant came upon the control room, and rushed in. There was a man standing there.

Many holographic UI's could be seen floating around, with the captain occasionally tapping on one. Reading some statistics.

"Captain! There's a asteroid heading our way!"

Noticing the lieutenant's rushed tone, the captain spoke. "Alright, calm down. How far is it?". The captain was calm due to the fact that, as long as it wasn't too close to the planet, they could just send something to knock the asteroid off course.

"It was 2 million kilometers the last time I checked!", the lieutenant said, trying his best to keep his calm.

"Dammit!" The captain could no longer stay calm!

"B-but, the asteroid is only the size of a football field!"

"Are you sure!?"

"I won't dare lie!"

The captain sighed of relief. He thought that, since the asteroid was only so small, perhaps the deaths wouldn't be so much.

"Then, where is the estimated landing location of the asteroid?", this time, the captain regained his calm behavior.

"It seems to be west of the tianyu city of the east.."

"Alright, never speak of what happened hear. The asteroid isn't coming towards towards our country, so there is nothing to worry about. There isn't even that much people in that city, much less around it!".

"B-but, captain, those are human li-"

『in a village, west of tianyu city』

A young man could be seen on a wheelchair, with an old man in front of him.

Yang Kai sighed, receiving his monthly pay by the village head.

"Only 500 yen to spend this month.."

While the village head heard this, he didn't care.

"Hmph, you should be grateful you're even making this much a month just by doing some simple farmwork!"

"I understand.."

Yang Kai was a poor young man. Though, his body had a defection. During his time of birth, due to some problems, his legs were crippled.

"Oh heavens, why was I born like this?" Yang kai thought, looking down at his legs. Other men at his age were in college, studying to get their dream jobs, but he could only do some simple farmwork.

Just then, he heard his stomach rumbling.

"I should buy this months food, now" With that, Kai rolled to a nearby store in the village. Once he got there, due to his regular visits, he made a simply order.

"Hello Old man Murong, I would like the regular!".

"Oh, hey Kai'er!" Old man Murong, exclaimed. Noticing the sad look in Yang Kai's eyes, the old man grabbed a thousand yen bill from his pocket and tried to give it to him.

"It's not much money, but here!"

"No..it's fine, I don't need this!", said Yang Kai while guilty.

"Don't worry, a hard working man as young as you deserve more money!"

Yang Kai hesitated and reached for the money, while swearing to one day repay the old man. However, just as he did that, a flaming figure appeared within the corner of his eyes.

"W-what?", however, just as he tried to focus his vision on the figure while turning around, he yelled.

"Old man Murong, go into the store!"

"What do you me-"

"It's a Meteo-, no, Asteroid!" Hearing this, the old man practically dove into his shop, followed behind by Yang Kai.

As for whether they would still survive, Yang Kai didn't think so. The asteroid in his vision was as big as a football field. Compared to their figure, or even the brick shop, wouldn't they get crushed along with the rest of the village?

Yang Kai could feel his blood boil, and he trembled while finding a random thing to duck behind in the store.

"Am I really going to die today? I haven't even became successful yet!", Yang Kai roared in his heart. he couldn't accept this. With the heavens giving him a body defection, at least he could be successful, but if he died it would be all for naught!

"No! I can't fail my parents expectations of me, nor let Old man Murong die!", with that came the adrenaline.

However, it was useless. In front of absolute power that surpasses you, no matter how courageous you are, you are nothing but a mere ant.
