PROLOGUE

Everyday was the same for me. Here in Zhejiang, the weather was often sunny and the place was always energetic. Being the third and last daughter in my family, I was always doted on. My elder sisters, Mingmei and Mingyu were happily married so my father who was a trader, always did his best to ensure I was well taken care of.

My mother was a disciplinarian but she had a kind heart. We always used to say that she must have been a general in her past life. My elder brothers had all moved out of Zhejiang but always returned home during the holidays.

I was the spoilt baby of the Wang family. But never, never did I expect what would happen to me next.....
