The next morning, Yue turned into her bird form and entered the beautiful cage that was prepared for her. And as the prince walked to his carriage, the soldiers couldn't help but admire the bird that the prince was carrying.
"Your Highness, such a beautiful bird you have. Fitting for a prince that successfully won the war," General Luo Yu said.
"Ahh, yes. I caught her last night when I went on a walk by myself," the prince smiled.
"A beautiful trophy for a worthy prince," the General said. "But the girl that you rescued from the battlefield, Your Highness. I haven't seen her at all."
"We sent her back to where she belongs and that doesn't concern you, General," the prince said as he stepped inside his carriage.
As he sat inside, he looked at Yue who was sleeping peacefully inside the cage. He chuckled as he realized she looked comfortable in the golden cage he provided for her.
"We're coming home, Yue," he muttered.
...
Meanwhile, the Imperial Palace has been busy since Fang already entered the palace to receive the training to become the crown princess.
She has improved drastically and this impressed Lady Ping and her very own mother, Lady Qing.
One day, Lady Qing visited her daughter.
"Greetings to Lady Qing," Fang said as he bowed elegantly to her mother. Lady Qing felt proud of how her daughter has become. She was far from the old Fang she once knew.
But she didn't know that Fang was planning something more.
As she passed by the Prince Yuhan's mansion, she noticed that the three princes who were strong candidates for the throne were talking at the pavilion. Their faces were serious and Prince Yuhan who didn't show much expression had a shocked expression on his face and this piqued her curiosity.
"Milady? Would you like to speak with the princes?" her maid asked.
She looked back at the princes again and decided not to. It wasn't time for her to meddle with them yet.
"No. I don't want to disturb the princes since they must be discussing something important," she said as she continued her walk. "Let's go to the lotus pond and greet the Mother Empress and the Imperial Consorts."
"Yes, milady," the maid said.
'Until I'm not yet finished with my training, I will not cross paths with the princes... yet' she thought. She was to replace Yue in their hearts, she was going to erase her from everyone's memories but little did she know that the woman she intend to erase was alive and well.
