The Bryants

   In the dimly lit room, five men sat around a round table littered with cigarette butts and photo paper were strewn about. One of them cleared his throat, looking at his relatives who were busy with their thoughts.

   "You must remember one of the CEOs of a famous company, the Cavern family," the man at the far end named Joseph opened the conversation. "Last week the eldest son of the family founded another company. Nathan is the second superpower after his father." Joseph pointed to a photo, containing a portrait of a young man in his neat suit. "As usual, they are getting rid of competitors in the world market in a dirty way. I remind you, that our job is to take back their luck, avenge the defeat they have thrown at us."

   "Sorry to interrupt, Brother," another man with blond hair replied. "Now their strength in the business world is stronger. Is there still a chance for us to reclaim what we should have and avenge the losses and losses?"

   Joseph laughed sarcastically, leaned his chair forward slightly, and looked at the young man. "Jaxen… my cousin, Jaxen. Didn't I say that we started in a… nasty way?"

   Confused by Joseph's words, Jaxen raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

   "Oh, I haven't explained this plan in detail, have I?" Joseph chuckled softly. He grabbed another photo and threw it at the young man sitting not far from him. "They are both Thomas' youngest daughters."

   The young man, Jace, showed a confused face while taking the photo that was thrown by his cousin. "So?"

   "Getting revenge on someone has to be slow, unobtrusive, and very painful." Joseph pursed his lips. "Let's start with the smallest things first."

   "Do you mean you baited me?" Jace asked.

   "No. Gosh, Jace, why do you think like that?" Hearing the complaints of his cousin, Joseph shook his head. "This is called the division of labor. You attack from within. Pretty easy, right? You only have one task." He took out a cigarette from his pocket, then lit the lighter and lit the cigarette which was now tucked into Joseph's lips. "Choose one as your target." Smoke billowed into the room as Joseph exhaled through his mouth. "I already arranged your application for admission to their school."

   Jace's eyes fell on the photo in his hand. Shaking his head, he chose one of the two girls. Although part of him was reluctant to do the task in such an easy way. For a long time among his big family who had ambitions for one thing, only he was more interested in killing someone violently.

"What are their names?" Jace asked, getting curious.

   "Hm… Elisabeth and Cleopatra."

   "So… can I kidnap or kill one of them?" One of Jace's eyebrows shot up.

   In response to the question, Joseph patted the table in front of him lightly, leaning his back on the chair. "It's more like that."

   Jace's sharp, killing eyes narrowed. A crooked smile appeared on his lips. "If that's the case, fine. Blood must be paid with blood."
