Carol was overjoyed by his words. "Thank you, sir! I won't disappoint you!"
However, a conflicting thought crossed her mind immediately. There was one person who still haunted her all the time.
"What about Damien?" she asked, biting her lip. Would his grandfather even listen to her pleas against him?
Alexander chuckled with humor. "You want to get rid of him, don't you?"
Carol looked into his eyes, reflecting sincerity. "I know Damien is your grandson, but he betrayed me and took credit for my work. I have no interest in working with him ever again."
The old man nodded with temerity. "Fine. Damien will no longer control you. He is still the CEO of the company. However, my grandson will have no decision-making power in your operations or the Rapids Project."
