Back in Springfield, the Blackwell Conglomerate had already set its roots. The C&A company was absorbed into the leading group, forming the Springfield branch. Carol was promoted as its Chairperson by Alexander. She was given access to all financial and administrative powers.

The Black Dragon gang had also arrived in the city. They set up a lair in the Blackwell building's basement. To everyone's surprise, they invited Josh Atelier to join as a member.

Josh readily signed up, thinking his days of zero influence were finally over. The Black Dragon gang was the most ferocious group in the tri-state area. Backed by the powerful Blackwell family, they lived like princes.

Gary Blackwell stood in attention at the gang lair's entrance. Before him was Courtney Blackwell, Alexander's granddaughter. Gary was her uncle, but he took orders from the young woman like all others.
