Clan's Custom

For the following days Tyche learnt about the basics of cultivation and he picked up everything in a faster phase. Like this two years passed, now eight years old Tyche is learning today's lesson from Ron along with some of his cousins who joined Ron's classes after each of them reached six years old.

As the class ended a middle aged man with silver hair and well built body entered the hall and called out, "Young master Tyche, master Kaiser and madame Colette is awaiting for your visit in their study room, please come with me"

When Tyche saw this man and his request he replied, "Ok Uncle Gray, I will be there in a minute". Then he turned to Ron and his cousins to say his goodbye.

"Tyche, you have completed your basic cultivation knowledge classes so you don't have to visit this hall anytime soon but you can come to me if you have any doubts or questions", said Ron.

Tyche didn't think much about this since he is already familiar with the teachings and said, "Ok Uncle Ron and thank you for all your teachings". After that Tyche left the hall.

"Bye big brother Tyche", seeing Tyche leaving the room his cousins waved at him and returned the gesture.

Seeing Tyche's back as he went further Ron let out a sigh and shook his head and thought to himself, 'It's time of him to grow up'.

Tyche along the silver haired man - Grey Whitelock walked toward the study room of Kaiser. Grey is the Dao protector of Tyche from the Heavenly Devil Clan, a subordinate clan of Ashborn Clan who followed them from the Golden Era.

As they reached the study room Grey opened the door for Tyche and said, "Young master I will wait outside till you come out". Tyche got puzzled by Grey's odd behavior but he still went in to see his parents.

"Father, Mother I am back", Tyche said his usual line when he saw is parents sitting in the chair having tea. Colette smiled warmly and hugged him and asked, "Little Tyche how was the day, have you learned anything new".

Tyche smiled happy and revised the content he learnt today and said how he finished his basic classes. After finishing his part Tyche turned towards his father and asked in a puzzled tone, "Father is everything alright, you seem to be in tense".

Tyche was always good at reading the room and when he saw that Kaiser being silent for a while he asked and he recalled how everyone seemed to be either sad or sighing for the past few days including Grey.

Kaiser smiled after seeing his son's intelligence and asked, "Tyche do you know why people cultivate".

Tyche got even more puzzled about now but still answered, "To evolve by breaking free from the innate limitations and restrictions but this is a common knowledgewhy are you asking this now"

Kaiser shook his head and replied, "You will know in a while and do you recall our clan's custom of going to the lower planets to experience life"

Tyche suddenly became interested when he heard this statement, "Yes, it is said that every member have to go out before they start to cultivate"

Kaiser nodded and said, "It is time for you to follow this custom and you will be out of the clan for a year with only Grey accompanying you on this trip"

Tyche become excited about his visit to the outside world, it will be his is first time leaving his clan. Even though he read many books about the outside world and is quite knowledgeable he is still very interested in visiting many places by himself.

Colette patted Tyche's head and commented, "Ok fine don't get excited, you will be departing a day after tomorrow and make necessary preparations for this trip and come to me if you need anything". After saying goodbye to parents Tyche went to his room to make preparations for this journey.

Seeing Tyche leaving the room Colette changed from peaceful expression to that of worry and asked her husband, "Is it compulsory to do this activity now can't we wait for him to grow a bit".It is not the first time she asked this same question.

Kaiser shook his head and said with helplessly, "No, every member have to go through this at their age of eight and it is for his own good, he have to learn about the cruelty of cultivation world"
