“If your laptop has a DVD burner—and most of them do these days—you can easily make a copy.”
“Now, why didn’t I think of that?”
“Grandmother,” Marco said, “what do you think about the meeting?”
“I think it went well,” she said. “I paid very close attention to the two men whom I knew to be Clemente’s particular creatures, but they were controlling their expressions very carefully.”
“Which two?” Luciano said.
She told him.
“Luciano,” Marco said, “unless Grandmother needs you, perhaps we can have dinner in town and discuss what needs to be done.”
“Don’t worry about me,” la Contessasaid. “I will have a quiet evening with my brother and his wife. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if I had a few visitors.”
“Visitors?”
“From today’s meeting. Several of those men are in fairly regular contact with me by telephone, and they may want to talk to me.”
