Chapter 61: The Young Man

BOOM!

Alex was pushed back, a smirk on his face. "Seems like everything is going as planned." A mask appeared in his hand, and as he wore it, his figure disappeared. "Now don't disappoint me, and you also, Ximena." Yes, Alex planned not to allow Ximena to act in this battle because of her injuries. But the moment she felt Alex's emotions completely disappear, she should have been worried and rushed here.

A dragon's roar appeared from afar, its majestic aura trying to suppress the old lower races. Its anger was visible, but Levi didn't care about the dragon coming; his senses were on high alert. Why? Because Alex's presence disappeared all of a sudden. His eyes darted left and right. What was Alex doing?

It was simple really. From that attack, he used a tremendous amount of Arcane mana, removing his advantage in regeneration. Consuming too much, he deactivated his skills, even the Sovereignty, meaning that he would need to wait for two days before activating it again. Alex needed to lower his aura as much as possible, making it impossible for Levi to sense him without moving.

But he knew that the moment he focused, being caught was possible. Except for The Monarch, everything was deactivated. That's when Cain arrived and Ximena, going through the barrier, with Alex looking at the whole situation, planning his next actions.

On the hill where Cain Manor is,

The walls, Vampire Knights, and slaves were all frozen, except for the three A-rank vampires. A young man with dark blue eyes floated in the sky and spoke, "Vanish." The bodies broke into small pieces, leaving no blood or anything. "So weak, what a shame."

The old man, with an injured hand which happened, when he moved his body to dodge that attack, along with Lydia, who had frozen marks on her body, and the young man who looked barely alive. "We are fighting against an S-rank here, how are we going to win?" Lydia spoke, fear in her voice.

The old man sighed, staring at the young man, and spoke, "Take my life, and leave them out of this. I'm begging you; they are just young."

The young man stared at the two with a considering expression and said, "That's noble of you, but I'm sorry. The man who destroyed this city told me to make sure I kill every single one of you. But before that, follow me. If the girl is in good condition, then I spare your lives. But if not, then the pain you are going to gain…" He smiled, and the old man's eyes shrank. "You do have a chance."

"Why is that?"

"Because if she is seen okay, then I will judge what to do with you. But if not, then he will judge you." The young man spoke, staring into the city.

The old man knew that surviving this would become impossible if they knew what happened. Closing his eyes for just a moment, he shouted, "Both of you, run." The two behind were about to run before a voice that sounded like that of a demon ring out.

"I don't think so." His voice rang like an echo, and the only thing they saw was blood and a body passing them.

"Noooooo," Lydia shouted.

In the city,

Alex revealed himself with golden hair and eyes, along with a mark on his forehead. "Looks like the whole gang is here." Ximena stared at him, with a worried expression. Alex's cold, emotionless face stared at them.

Cain and Levi stood there, even sharing a look before Cain spoke, "I will give you the girl and anything that you want. I just want you to leave my city."

Ximena went and stood beside Alex. "That's too late for that; you should have had greater foresight." Eternal flames appeared, and Alex commanded, "Ximena, don't kill the bloodsucker yet. I have something to ask him. So just beat him up, okay?" He seemed like he was underestimating Cain, which angered him. But Ximena had the power to suppress anyone who's a lower race than her.

But to make sure, 10 soul spears appeared. Levi sensed something and warned, "Wa…." Before he could finish, he coughed out a mouthful of blood, along with Cain.

"Now, my dear, show him who's the supreme race," Alex ordered, with Ximena dashing forward and Alex dashing at Levi. Both men were stunned from the sudden pain and injury that they didn't see, leaving them both at a disadvantage and lowering their power that much. Remember, in this form, Alex's soul reached the next stage, meaning reaching A-rank, which made it easy to cause a major handicap on S-rank.

Lv83 = S- rank (Levi)

Lv87 → Lv81 = S- rank (Cain)

Gaining their focus at the last moment, they acted fast, with Cain's body being covered in red lightning and Levi repairing his damaged Dark armor in those moments, ready to block the two.
