Assimilation and a talk

I After I passed out I woke up in another white place and when looking around I thought 'This can't be right , I'm immortal. Maybe if its my soul?' Has I was standing there thinking I didn't notice someone behind me and then I head a familiar voice "Hello Matthew , its a pleasure to finally meet you" after I heard that I turned around and saw someone I didn't expect to see ever; The Father of Remnant , The Hero and The Chosen by the Gods Ozma.

He looked like the one from season 1 to 3 and even had the The Long Memory , 'Welp expected to see Oscar but it's all the same in the end' had I was looking at him and thinking he said "You probably thought I'd appear has Oscar no? I prefer to appear in this form had I'm more familiar with it". After I heard him say that I was surprised that he knew who Oscar so I decided to get some answers "How do you know who Oscar is?" to which he said "Well my soul is basically being converted into the things you call 'skills' and being fused to you so while that is happening I do have some privileges. The future I saw in your memories...I didn't expect things would go that well but it seems that once again I was wrong".

I laughed at his words and said "Damn straight you were , everything is going to shit and Salem is coming with a fucking horde of deadly grimm and just to boot it now she has the lamp. I really doubt those kids are going to be able to stop her , I mean even you couldn't" , Ozpin sighned and said "That might be true but I believe In miss Rose and her team's judgment" to which I just looked at him and said "They're kids Oz , they're bloody kids and you expect them so defeat Salem? An immortal being that has lived for millennials and has the power to create and control grimm" to which Oz with a sad look said "I know it's not the best choice to involve kids in this fight but that was inevitable. Alas that is a matter of a possible future , I called you here to ask you about your plan to avoid my mistakes".

I sighned and said "Indeed a future that I will make sure to change , what do you want to ask?" , Oz looked at me in the eyes and said "Devouring the twin gods...are you sure that is the right path to take? I mean not that mine is any better but at least it's realistic" , after listening to his concerns I laughed and said "That is what you're worried about? I have literally all the time in the world to surpass and reach heights they will never even dream of reaching , since you've seen my memories you know my wishes and even after that you still worry?".

Oz was silent for a moment while looking at me and said "And let's say you manage to do that , what about after that? After you devour the twins what will come after?" to which I said "Peace , something you couldn't seem to achieve even after all those years. If you had just tried talking with her and convince her , instead of jumping to the guns all that could be avoided" , Oz after hearing me said "It would've ended in the same way even if I did , Salem was already lost" to which I said while raising my voice "How do know that?! You didn't even try to change her and just pegged her has evil and tried to escape instead of trying to at least change her mind because she would have never killed you in the first place if you didn't try to escape with the kids"

After hearing me sighned and said "So be it , it's of no use to us discussing that past. I just hope you can change that future and shape it to one that ends in peace , I hope you don't commit the same mistakes I did" to which I nodded and said "Indeed it is of no use so why did you call me here?" , Ozma just smiled and said "I just wanted to talk to you and wish you luck , since this is the only moment we will ever be able to talk." after he said that I smiled too and said "I see , well you are a good guy Oz. We would have been great friends if we ever meet before this" , hearing that Ozma said "Indeed , it seems our short meeting needs to come to an end. It was good meeting you Matt , even with all the rest" I smiled and said back "Same Oz" after I said that I lost consciousness again.

I slowly regained consciousness and raised , I was in a bed and by the side of it was Salem sleeping. Not wanting to wake her up I slowly put a blanket over her and left the room , when I was outside I closed my eyes and felt all the memories Oz had and I thought 'This is something else , he was this powerful and yet a simple disease killed him...how sad'. I recalled a memory of a skill he apparently used a lot and then I felt has if I had used the skill so many times it became like breathing and eating , which I had , literally. 'Well I doubt the system would ever disappear but just in case it ever came to that I have this' , after thinking about that my body started rising in the air 'Huh feels so natural and yet strange at the same time' , after testing that skill I went inside the house to make breakfast since apparently Ozma was a good chef.

After making something out of the things Salem kept in the house I sat down and started meditating in the chair outside the house 'It sure is helpful that I don't need to sit down in the lotus pose just to meditate' and after a bit Salem came out searching for me , when she saw me sitting there she hugged me and said "I was so worried about you" to which I said while hugging her back "There is no need to worry love we are immortal" , after hearing me she let go of me and asked "What happened there to make you fain?" and after thinking for a bit I said while smiling "The soul of the person this body belonged wanted to talk to me , he wanted to say goodbye".

Salem after hearing that looked surprised and asked "But didn't the God of Light put you in this body after the soul left?" , I said while thinking about it "He said that the God of Light didn't want to just erase all the traces of his soul in the body has that would hurt him , so he had to wait for the traces to either disappear naturally or for my soul to slowly dissipate them." , Salem just looked at me while thinking and after a bit she said "It is what it is , so since that is solved shall we go the pools?" to which I said "After breakfast" so after having this little talk we went to eat the breakfast I made and after we were done we both started flying to the pools.
