Prologue

The sun dipped low behind the horizon, casting long shadows across the village, The weight of his guilt matched the heaviness in his heart, since he was returning from his parent's funeral, he decided to visit his parent's house after years of neglected his parent in pursue his dream of become an artist.

As, Ray approached the place that had once been his family's home, a knot formed in his stomach. something was missing. The usual flicker of light from the hearth was absent for he could be the artist he was now.

Replaced by an eerie silence that hung in the air like a foreboding omen.

With a sinking feeling, Ray pushed open the creaky door and stepped into the dimly lit interior. His heart seized as he beheld the scene before him. Furniture lay overturned, belongings scattered haphazardly across the floor, and the scent of smoke lingered in the air.

"Mom? Dad?" Ray's voice cracked as he called out into the emptiness, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of life. But there was none.

Then, he saw it. A crumpled piece of paper lying atop the rickety table, its edges stained with tears. With trembling hands, Ray reached out and unfolded the letter, his heart sinking with each word.

"Ray, my son," the letter began, written in his mother's delicate hand. "We're sorry. We didn't know how to support you, how to understand your dreams. But we loved you, always. Please forgive us."

Tears blurred Ray's vision as he read on, learning of the tragic accident that had claimed his parents' lives. Guilt gnawed at his heart, knowing that their last moments had been spent in sorrow and regret.

Alone in the world, Ray felt the weight of his past mistakes bearing down upon him like a crushing burden.

In that fleeting moment, he burst through the threshold(door) and tears welled in his eyes, glistening like dewdrops in the moonlight, but his voice remained trapped behind the chains of his despair as he wanted to yield his heart out.

But as his legs carried him further into the night, a heaviness settled over him like a shroud. His muscles screamed in protest, his breaths ragged and uneven, yet still he pressed on.

He didn't know what he is fleeing from whether it was the harsh reality, or the darkness that lurked within his own soul.

In the briefest of moments, a fleeing flash pierced the darkness—a truck-kun careened toward him, the truck-kun collided with his form, leaving him laid in the midst of the road, as he smirk towards the sky he says "I regressed, to that past I missed"

I hope that in their next life they will not be my parent but instate have a good son who can take care of them

As I faced the end, I cherished memories of my mother's warm embrace, finding solace in her love. Recalling moments with family, laughter, and shared meals, I found comfort.

which father had protected it all with his unwavering guidance and gentle strength, holding our family together.

As I reach the end, these memories sustained me, knowing love would endure in my heart beyond life.

"Hey, wake up now. Breakfast is ready," a faint voice of a woman stirred him from his reverie.

"If you don't wake up, breakfast will get cold," the bright crimson light flooding his vision revealed the figure of his late mother.

As I blinked my eyes open, she disappeared, leaving behind a simple instruction.

"I'm heading to work. And don't forget to reheat the breakfast before eating, okay. Bye take care?"

Could it be a dream? If so, I wouldn't mind indulging in the comfort of this reverie, lying here while gazing at the ceiling, reminiscing about the past, and embracing the tranquility of doing nothing at all.
