Sky's Condition

Jake had no idea where they were so he had asked Smith for the way back into the district.

His mana was still very low so he and Rheya had to walk back into the district. Kyle, Smith and Kevin had called the clinsers and were waiting for them to arrive and handle the convicts which were unconscious.

"Can't you do cast a spell or something and make us appear at my house?" Jake asked Rheya as they walked together and headed into the Ansteria district.

"I have never seen your house." Rheya replied. "So I don't know where I am going."

"What if I described it to you?" Jake asked. "I don't know if you noticed but I'm wearing a full set of armour and you're wearing a cloak. It's not exactly what people around here wear and we're going to attract unnecessary attention."

"What do you want me to do?" Rheya asked. "Why can't you use your magic and do something? You're the Harbinger aren't you?"

Jake stopped walking and seeing him stop, Rheya stopped as well.

"What is it?" she asked.

"I think I have an idea." Jake replied. He began looking for the nearest phone he could use and he was finally allowed to use one in a store that was by the road. The store was fairly close to the outskirts of the district so it was basically empty except for the person behind the counter.

The person had looked at Jake and Rheya weirdly because of what they wore but had still allowed them to use the phone.

Jake had dialed in a number and waited. The phone on the other end began to ring but it rang for a long time. 'Where is everyone?' he thought. The call stopped ringing but no one had answered the phone. Jake gave an apologetic smile to the person behind the counter and tried again.

"Do you believe everything I told you earlier?" Anna asked Andrea.

Sky's body temperature was back to normal but he still hadn't regained consciousness since then and they had left him in the bath tub with the ice which had now melted.

"Yes. Why wouldn't I?" Andrea replied.

"Maybe because I told you your youngest son killed a man and was almost arrested. And the 'man' he killed was not using magic and also called him a Xendor."

"Anna right?" Andrea said. "Thank you..."

The phone downstairs began ringing again and Andrea sighed in frustration.

"Sorry excuse me." he said before leaving Sky's room and heading downstairs to answer the phone. "Who is this?" he asked the person on the other end of the phone.

"Dad! Finally!"

Andrea had heard the person speak but the voice had not entirely registered in his head. The person had called him 'dad'. 'Dad?' Andrea thought.

"Dad I really need your help right now."

"Jake?" Andrea said in almost a whisper as he suddenly realized who was talking to him on the phone. "Jake!"

"Yeah Dad it's me. I really need you to come pick me up."

"Where have you been? Where are you? How are you?"

"Dad listen." Jake said. "I'm kinda stranded and I need you to come get me."

"Sure." Andrea said.

Jake explained where he was to Andrea and also told him the name of the store he was in then waited for Andrea.

Andrea went back upstairs to Sky's room and told Anna he was going out to get Jake.

"Are you sure it was Jake?" Anna asked.

"I'm very sure I know the voice of my son." Andrea replied. "Are you going to be okay with Sky until I get back?"

"Yes. Go get Jake since you're sure it's him. I'll stay with Sky."

"Thank you so much." Andrea said then went straight outside and into his glist. He put the name of the store Jake had told him into the coordination system of the glist and drove off.

About two hours later, the glist curved right back into the driveway and Andrea got down with Jake and Rheya.

He had been very surprised by the armour Jake was wearing and the fact that he was coming home with a stranger he had never seen the likes of before. He had been about to get into a conversation with Jake outside the store but Jake had insisted they get home first before talking about anything.

Jake walked through the front door and inhaled deeply. Then sighed. "I've missed this. Home." He saw Anna come down from the stairs and smiled. "Miss Anna. How have you been?"

"Jake." Anna said. "Where have you been? And what are you wearing?" She took a good look at the armour that was on Jake and went closer to it. "Where did you get this?"

"Would you believe me if I told you I found it?" Jake asked.

"This is no doubt a full set of armour at the mythical rank." Anna said. "How could you possibly have this? No monarch has any equipment this powerful and that's because a mythical ranked beast has never been encountered."

"It was a parting gift." Jake said.

"From who?" Andrea asked.

"Enough with all the questions already." Jake said. "Where's Sky? Don't tell me he's out and about?" he asked, cleverly changing the subject.

"Actually he's upstairs." Anna said.

"He is not in the best of conditions." Andrea added.

"What's wrong with Sky?" Jake asked, genuinely worried. "What happened?"

Jake rushed upstairs and went to Sky's room.

"Jake." Andrea called out but Jake was already upstairs.

He didn't see anything in Sky's room apart from soaking wet sheets so he went to the bathroom and saw Sky sitting on the edge of the bath tub which was still filled with water.

Water was dripping from Sky's body and his face looked pale which was only made worse by his eyes which had sunk in and had dark circles underneath them.

"What the hell happened to you?" Jake asked as he went to join him and sit at the edge of the bath tub. "You don't look like your usual self."

"I don't feel like my usual self." Sky replied weakly. "Where the hell... have you been?" he asked as he coughed. "And what are you wearing?"

"Anna asked the exact same thing." Jake said with a chuckle. "Come on. Let's go downstairs."
