Hybrid

Kalvrie's house was close to the forest which had the symbol they needed to get to Veda and she and Andrea needed to get past the Aramante before they could get into the forest.

Another explosion of energy occurred and Kalvrie's house was now destroyed.

"We can't fight them all." Andrea said.

Kalvrie's eyes began glowing white and her purple hair with the two red streaks began slightly hovering as it also got covered in white energy. Kalvrie ran and held onto Andrea before she flew up into the air and flew straight into the forest.

The dozen Aramante also flew into the air and followed Kalvrie into the forest. They shot balls of energy at her but she avoided them and when she was close to the tree, she landed on the ground and just then, a ball of energy hit the back of her knee which made her fall to the ground.

At the moment the sun was rising again and Andrea brought out the small knife which became the black-bladed sword after sunlight touched it.

Kalvrie got up from the floor but just then more energy balls hit her back and she fell down again.

The Aramante had landed on the floor and they immediately charged towards Andrea and Kalvrie.

Andrea had also rushed forward to buy Kalvrie some time for her to get up but he had suddenly stopped moving and when he looked at his body, he could see it was covered in white energy.

Kalvrie had released her energy onto Andrea and used it to cover him then send him back to the tree which had the symbol at the bottom of its trunk. Kalvrie had also released her energy into the symbol so the minute Andrea's body hit the tree trunk it began changing into energy particles.

"What are you doing?!" Andrea shouted while trying to move forward but he could not because his body was already dissipating into energy.

"I'll be alright." Kalvrie said with a forced smile before the dozen Aramante surrounded her and began beating her until she lost consciousness.

Reproduction between a Melynx and a Human was extremely rare and very uncommon. But was not impossible. Full Melynxs were unable to use magic but when the Melynx was part human as well, they were able to use both magic and the energy of the Melynxs which is what made them so valuable to the Melynxs.

With a mother who was a melynx and a father who was a human, Sasha was born half melynx and half human – a hybrid as the melynxs called them. Her mother had met her father while completing a job on Veda and when her mother had found out that she was pregnant, she had gone back to Vaxoryn which where Sasha had been born.

Sasha was raised a melynx and was still told about her human side, about her father. When someone was needed to watch the new hybrid that would be enrolling at Dicenview academy, who better to do it than another hybrid that had already been trained and raised as a Melynx.

Sasha and her mother were sent to Veda to put up the facade of a normal human family along with a melynx who was supposed to be Sasha's father.

She had become true friends with Nikki, Cat, Ayo and Louisa but none of them knew the truth about her and she had also acquired magic in her third year like the other students.

After getting back on Veda through the symbol, she walked forward a bit to meet Isabel who she had asked to follow her.

"¿Qué diablos está pasando?" Isabel asked as she rushed to meet Sasha. "What the hell have you been doing? Do you know how long I've been waiting? When you asked if I could drive you, you didn't tell me I would have to wait this long."

"Calm down." Sasha said. "I'm here now aren't I? Let's go." They headed back towards the car and left.

Sasha had also been tracking down the convicts in Ansteria and fighting them but unlike Kyle, Kevin and Smith, she was killing them after the fight. She also needed to get stronger but she did not kill every convict she fought. She spared the lives of the ones who had a family and were just trying to get back to them without causing trouble for the people.

Right now Isabel was driving around the outskirts of Ansteria to drop Sasha off near a place where convicts where thought to be gathering.

"Are you sure about this Sasha?" Isabel asked when she stopped the car and Sasha was getting ready to get down.

"Yes." Sasha replied. "I'll be fine. Go home. Thanks for your help."

Sasha got down from the glist and Isabel drove off. Sasha continued walking quietly until she got to the place she was looking for. She was looking at an abandoned highrise building and people were storming out of the building, all heading in one direction.

Sasha knew they were convicts but they were too many for her to confront alone so instead she followed them to see where exactly they were going.

They were going further out of the Ansteria district and Sasha followed them from behind while keeping a safe distance between herself and the convicts.

After some time, she saw three people up ahead and the convicts were obviously heading towards them. As she got closer, she recognized the three people as Kyle, Smith and Kevin.

'What are they doing here?' Sasha thought.

Jake and Rheya had appeared on Veda but Jake did not have any idea where they were. After being magically transported between planets, possibly galaxies, Jake was still getting a grip on himself when he began hearing some noises.

He and Rheya had appeared in a kind of forest and now they were both starting to hear noises. Jake's was armour was glowing in the dark and the gold outline was more pronounced as the sun came up and peeked from behind the clouds.

"Let's check it out." Jake said to Rheya and they both headed in the direction of the noises they were hearing. Jake didn't know how strong Rheya was but between the two of them, not a lot of people should be able to overpower them.

As they got closer to the noises they were hearing, they realized that it was the sound of lots of footsteps all moving together. The people who had the footsteps soon came into view and Jake was confused.

"Why are they all holding weapons?" Jake asked.

"Should we find out?" Rheya asked back.

"Yeah. Come on." Jake said and went closer.

Kyle, Smith and Kevin had already started fighting some of the convicts that had gotten to them but they surveyed their surroundings again and saw that they were completely and utterly surrounded with nowhere to go.

Some convicts were even in the air above them to ensure there was no form of escape for them.

"This is the end for you three." one of the convicts said as he swung the sword in his hand.
