Chapter One

Western Park is the best place people loves to visit. This park is bigger than other Park's and good place where you can reset your minds from stressed. Rose favorite spot is the fountain with long seated around while watching children's playing on the dancing water, people walking around, couple sitting on the grass while talking each other, Family and friends bonding and alone like her.

She's always here at the park every time she felt loneliness and stressed full from work. She don't understand why she can't be happy even she had everything,she have the feeling there's still something is missing. Her bestfriends always say " Boyfriend, that's the missing piece in your life". Well, she already thought about that and she's hoping and wishing that someday the right man will come to her.

Rose is working as a waitress, Her parents are living in other country so she just working for herself. She had only one younger sister but had already family. Sometimes she felt envy to her younger sister for having two sweet little kids and good husband. She wanted also to have one good family like her sister but she's very workaholic and she never give someone attention reason to give up on her.

She heard her phone is ringing, It's Abigail who is calling her. Abigail is her workmate." Hey sleepyhead, I'm on day off why are your bothering me ". She always trip to mess Abigail because she treated her like a real sister.

" I know, I know" she's controlling her screaming that sounds like she saw her favorite Hollywood actors. " I have good news to you Rose, our boss hired new waiter and oh, my god " she's screaming again like she's excited to tell about the waiter, " his like a novel prince, damn!". She can't help herself not to admire the man.

" Really? well, let me see when i come at work tomorrow if your telling the truth" Rose trying to convince herself that Abigail is just imagining someone doesn't exist or trying to mess her up.

" Hey! hey! what are you trying to say huh? that I'm just imagining someone doesn't exist because i loved reading Novels?" she's sounds like she wanted to dealing with her.

" that's not came from me" Rose is started to messing Abigail. " well, it's just we're different taste when it comes judging someone wether it's handsome or not or nor it's just cute right? you know!" she's started to laugh now and waiting for what will Abigail be react.

" so?? your trying to say that my taste is isn't good compare to your taste?" Abigail is a bit sounds like she's annoying even not because Abigail loves joker.

" uhm! that's not what i mean it's just i don't trust your taste " Rose laughing at her.

" Ha,,,ha,,,ha,,, laughed as you want because i can be so sure that your gonna drop your T-back after you see him tomorrow and let's see if you don't feel any sensation about his looks especially his body. oh my god! and I'm dead serious Rose, veeeerrryyy dead serious!" Abigail is also dead wanted to dealing with her.

" come on Aby, if he is good looking like a modeling in magazine why his just working in restaurant instead of become marketing company or modeling, or something that suits to his personality?That's why it's hard to believe you". Rose explaining her reason.

" I,,,,,,, don't,,,,,, know! why don't you ask him tomorrow i also would love to hear it if what was his reason " Abigail is really thrilling about this guy that she can't help it.

" in your face, why would i do that?why don't you? I'm not gonna liking this someone that my bestfriend is trying to fantasy this guy. I don't want us to be like other's fighting for only one guy." she talked sarcastic still trying to pissed her bestfriend.

" hello? dah! don't small where we are working at because our restaurant is one of the famous restaurant,even celebrities are loves to eat here. so nothing is wrong if he working here." she's very defending.

" fine, okay, alright! let's skip this conversation because what i know Today is my good long day of my day off. So i hope the one in there could give me a lot of time to do what i wanted today and keeping herself quiet even just for today, i mean the whole day. So i can enjoy my day." she's trying Abigail could feel her kind of whisper.

" oh! I'm so sorry for ruining your day off, i felt a bit of shamed now. Okay then,have a good day and I wish you couldn't sleep tonight." Abigail laughed like she mean it but it's just a joke.

Abigail end the call while Rose is laughing quietly. She's happy to have a joker bestfriend who can handle her immaturity attitude sometimes. While watching the kids there's a guy stop in front of her.

" hi! I'm sorry to bother you but i would just ask if it's ok to sit with you? your seated is the only one i see is vacant." A gentle voice of a guy with good looking asking her for permission.

"y-yes sure " she surprised seeing this guy asking her in a very nice way.

" thank you ". he smiled and sit beside her.

While they are sitting quiet. Rose can't help herself imagining this guy on her side. Her mind is playing and imagining that this guy is her boyfriend. His sitting very close to her and his right arm is on her back of shoulder and the other hand is holding her hand. They talking about their future and this guy will ask her about wanted to have many children. She secretly smile thinking of it.

She heard a sound of camera and when she look at the guy. His holding a camera and his taking a picture of her.

" what are you doing?" she's surprised seeing this guy taking a photo of her.

" I'm sorry i just didn't help myself,please don't get mad." his worried.

" why your doing this? i don't even know you and your doing this without my permission? this is harassment. " she can't help herself to yelled this guy for being so crude. She get everyone attention for her speaking too loud.

" please, please don't make a scene here, let me explain.I admit it was my fault. Don't worry I'll delete

all your photos okay? just calm down." his trying to calm her because everyone are all eyes on them.

" do you think deleting my photos will convincing me that your a good guy? that your intention is good? who knows maybe your using your good looking to manipulate woman's and posted on internet their photos in porn sites." she more aggressive and getting louder.

" why would i do that? you can check my background if you want. I took you a photo because your smile is priceless while watching those kids" his pointing out the kids standing near in fountain. " I have no intention to do what you thought about me, i quickly took you a photo because you can't smile like that again if i ask you first, but i have intention to ask your permission after taking you a photo and if you don't like it then I'll just delete it for you". his explanation make sense to her.

" i don't care about your explanation just delete my photos and we're done" she low her voice and act to walk away but " show me your ID ". The guy giving his ID and she take a picture. " if you don't delete my photos ill report you in police." after warning him she walk away with frowning face.

She keep walking and walking straight. She saw a coffee shop and she quickly get inside and quickly sit on the vacant table. She breathing fast and so nervous, she bow and lean her forehead on the table. " damn! damn! I'm so shameless. Why on Earth i smiled? I thought he couldn't catch it but damn! I feel like a candle melting my own self". she get a deep sigh. She's irritated to herself.

" ma'am are you alright?". A lady voice.

" I'm okay" her voice was so down. " can you give me americano coffee? or do you have chocolate with vanilla icing on top?" her voice still so down.

" we have both of your orders ma'am, but which one would you like to order?" a nice voice from the lady.

She took a deep sigh. " chocolate please? and i want shake please, thank you". She sit straight and took another deep breath.

" ok ma'am, can you wait 8minutes?" lady asked.

" yes of course, i have a plenty of time to wait, so you can take your time." she just smile.

" Thank you ma'am, if you have another order~" the lady stop talking.

" thanks for asking,do you have strawberry cake? just for mine." she's craving for strawberry cake.

" yes ma'am" the lady quickly response.

" wow, that's great! give me one please, thank you" she's happy now.

" ok ma'am, I'll make it fast for you. please wait for a moment." the lady smiled back and bow then she walk fast going back to the counter.

"wow, damnn! i need my bestfriend now". she get her phone and messaging her bestfriend. She look at her watch. " sleepyhead still have 30minutes before she get her break time, well at least i message her early so she just call me after she ate her lunch." that's what she's thinking now. But she's still irritated ,but this moment she unexpected seeing the crude guy walking inside the coffee shop where she at right now. And their eyes are met.

" my god, what a unlucky day. " She look at him fiercely with crossing her arms and she also crossed her legs.

But instead this guy ignore her, he go to her table. " may i sit here?" he ask nicely and holding the chair in front of her.

" did you try already to look around first before asking me? maybe there's still vacant table over there that you didn't see yet." she sounds obviously don't want to share her table.

The lady come to her table to serve her order

" ma'am I'm sorry to tell you but we don't have vacant table as of now. If that's ok would you share your table with him? if it's not ok then, I'm sorry sir but you can come back another time or if you want you can wait the other costumers to finish their foods." lady said after she heard their conversation.

" well, you heard her? right? so, what will you do now? because i don't want to share my table with you." she's trying to pissed this guy.

" it's ok, I'll choose to take out my order Instead of eating with a selfish and with attitude person. I more enjoy it outside." he talked straight without anger emotion. He just smile and turn back.

She's getting more irritated after hearing what he said to her. She stand up and trying to face this guy. " what did you say? wow, who the hell are you huh? and what was that act for? are you playing to be look like your a good person and i am the bad here?" her voice is a little louder and she's getting everyone attention.

The guy walk back to her and standing close to her face. " look, I have no time to involve myself to any argumentations to someone like you or to anyone. I'm just here to rewind my head and eat my favorite cake. And one last thing i want you to know, i didn't mention your name so if i hurt your feelings that's not my fault, it's just your guilt. That's all". And he left her still standing with his head up. He go to the counter and he place his order.

She don't know but there's no words came out to her mouth and she look more shameless on what she act. Instead to eat her order she decided to take out her order because everyone are staring at her. She left the coffee shop with head down and walk back to her favorite spots. While she's walking she didn't notice a small rock on the ground and she accidentally step on it and got out of balance. She was drag down on the ground and when she stand up she feel her ankle is hurt.

" Damn it! why i always careless,a~auch!!" . she's trying to step her right foot but still hurt. She keep walking even she can't walk straight. She want to sit, she still lucky because she's very close to the long chair near to the fountain. Not much of people at this time that's what she noticed when she slowly sit down. She take off her right shoes and she massage her ankle.

" your doing the wrong massage, let me help you."

A familiar voice from her back. She can't believe his still here at the park. " W~wait, are you following me?" she ask while her eyes following this guy walking and stop in her front and he kneel down and holding her foot. Her feet trying to avoid his hand but he keeps holding it.

" stop it, your making it worst " this guy yelled her.

" I said no, stop, i can do this on my own, it's my foot it's not your business". She yelled him also and still keep avoiding his hands.

" if you don't stop i will kiss you". he warning her.

She stop after he warned her. " wow, you don't need to warn me, you can ask me nicely." and she snob him.

" stop acting like a spoiled brat. Be who you are. Your actions didn't match to the real you. I know your a nice person, sweet and caring." his talking straight from his heart.

" The way you talk it looks like you already know me." she talk calm but she's a lil curious.

" Yeah, actually your making may day everyday". he whispered.

" making what? what did you say? you talk like only you could hear yourself." She's trying to catch up his whispered.

" I said, i don't know you, we just met today." he didn't let her to know what he mean. "why don't we start to know each other starting today?" he smiling to her.

" well it depends" she still keep snobbing this guy.

" like?" he wanted to know what she's thinking.

" it depends like, if you heal my ankle. If you didn't then, it would be no." She's trying to test this guy.

" sure ". no doubt he response.

" what? do you think you can possibly heal it right away? " she's laughing a little.

" yes, base on what you said it depends if i heal it but you didn't set if until when, so as long as your ankle is in pain I'll continuing massage it even if your at home." he smiled like his trying to trick her.

" no but thanks, ok fine. I'm Rose". she have no choice.

" And I'm Denver " his very happy to introduce his self.

" Stop it and sit down, your annoying me" she still showing her attitude.

" okay! thanks! can you do some steps on the ground one more try? maybe it's ok now." his voice is sweet caring with her.

She tried to move her feet. " not bad" she's still keep her attitude.

"you know what,keep acting like that your so cute." his like having fun with her.

" Shut up! after you embarrassed me, i can't forgive you." she's showing now how mad she is to him.

" I'm really really sorry about that. I really don't mean it. I was just trying to be friendly with you and that's my true intentions but i was wrong. I thought your not getting angry if i took you a picture. I know i become crude to you and I'm sincerely apologise to you." his asking for forgiveness.

" I don't know if when i can forgive you." she like a kid hiding her frowning face.

" here, i know you drop your coffee. Drink mine,i didn't touch it yet." he smiling while his giving the coffee.

" oh! my coffee." she surprised,she forgot her coffee. " i forgot my coffee and my favorite cake". she sound sad to think that the cake she wanted to eat,she can't eat it now.

" don't worry about you dropped, i already throw it on the trashcan. I have cake here. But I don't know if you will like it." he open the small box.

Her eyes become bigger when she see what inside the box.

" strawberry cake?" she smile and happy.

" yes, it's my favorite cake. But you can have it if you want." he sounds so nice and sweet.

" we can eat this together" she gave him a sweet smile that even her surprised but she hiding that feelings.

" that's a good idea, i didn't know you have a sweet inside." his trying to approach her and making her blushing.

She don't know what she will response. She just get the pork made in plastic and be the first to bite the cake. And pretending she didn't hear it.

" Rose i think your phone is ringing." he heard a ring phone. he look at his phone but it's not ringing.

She get her phone and she see her bestfriend is calling. She remember that she messaged her. She picked up her call.

" let's talk later besh after your work. love you!" and she end the call.

" why don't you talk her long. it won't bother me". he said with nice smile.

" ahmm! i just think that much better if i talk her in person. We can talk a lot better than on phone." she explained.

" well, your right. But maybe it's important". his still asking.

" she's doing that every time I'm on my day off. And we're living together so we have a plenty of time to talk." She keep explaining with smile.

" oh, i see. So your two are?" he looks like his thinking of something about her with her bestfriend.

" hey! i know that look. we're both straight ladies,none of us is lesbian." she laughed.

He laughed too . " I'm sorry it's just i thought your two are in a relationship." He laughed with shy expression.

She slapped Denver arms. " that's disgusting. I'm not against to other girls with lesbian boyfriend it's just i never dreamed like that." she's just being honest.

" so, your two are just friend?" he ask again while holding his arm. " wow you have a heavy hand, I'm not prepared on that." he laughed again.

"well it's your fault". she laughed and felt something. She's starting to accept this guy even they just met today. She can't understand her feeling right now. It's just like she know him already and she's feeling comfortable with him. She want to know him more.

" let's change our topic. do you always visiting this place?" he ask a lil serious.

" Not always just twice a month. I came here every day off but sometimes I still work on my day off. " she explained very calm.

" wow! why still working? you should have more time with your boyfriend." he sounds amazed to her.

She laughed a little louder. "well i have no boyfriend since birth," she laughed again. " i started working since i graduate in highschool. I never think of studying in college. What i thinking is, i want to work so my parents will stay and not to work overseas. But they still continued their plan and they left me with my younger sister. My parents still wants me to go on college but i keep refusing them." she's very calm and comfortable to tell her story to Denver.

"Your parents know what is best for you. That's what i can see. They want you to have a good future." he said

" I know but i have a reason why i refused. Two reason, first im not smart, in short i have no brain. Even though I was always in the 3rd section up to 12 sections for me im not still smart enough. I been in 2nd section one time but It's hard to catch up them. They are so smart. Second reason is i don't want them to waste their money. Because I want to stand on my own feet." she's proudly to tell her story.

" so in other words you want to be independent". he get easy what she wanted to prove.

" yep, and i did it and my part are very proud on me." she's very happy while talking with him. she feel like she found the person who willing to listen to her story. " Thank you!". she smiled.

" why your thanking me? " his confused.

" because, i can see that your enjoyed listening to my story." she feel comfy.

" yes it's true because for me your life is interesting. No joke but your amazing, because you think advance and your brave facing everything on your own. And everyone has a brain stop thinking that your not smart. You just over downing yourself but the truth is, you have a strong and brave personality." his cheering her up.

" thank you Denver i just thought i always talking non sense." she feel shy. " anyway, what about you? what is your life story?" she changed the topic.

" me? i loved traveling and try different new things like eating with exotic foods, trying different jobs for more experience. But most of my favorite part is to take a pictures all different kinds of natures, people hobbits, and others with interesting images." his happy to share it to her.

"wow! where is your family?". she's very interested to know him.

" i was just adopted. My parents who stand as my parents was died earlier in a car accident so i live alone that's why i decided to travel to forget everything and start for a new and positive life." his very calmed talking about his life while his eyes watching birds flying in the sky.

She watching his face while his watching the birds. She slowly get her phone and take him a picture.

" Hey! hey! what are you doing?" he smiling like his shy.

" sometimes you need also stollen shots so you can see what kind of person you are in the picture. having stollen shots of others could tell how happy and sad they are. Look at your picture." she show her phone.

He look at his self and smile. " then can you tell me if what you can see on my picture?

" I can see how mysteriously you are and your just pretending your ok but the truth is your not ok." she's reading very serious.

He laughed hard. " Are you a fortune teller? can you tell me if the beautiful lady in my front is there a possibly become my friend?".

She slapped his arm again. " you know what your crazy. Well i can tell you, she will never be your friend."

" really? so is she will be my girlfriend soon?". He can't help not to laugh.

" In your face" she stand up and try to step her right foot but she out of balance again and Denver catch her but they both fall in the ground.

" wow! i just realized now how heavy you are." he laughed while his cuddling her.

" Your so mean, I'm just 50 kilo not a 60 kilo". she's trying to move but Denver cuddling her so tight.

" Don't worry at least you fall in my fluffy body. And if you dare slap me again i will kiss you." he smile like a sweet devil.

She feel a lil embarrassing." can you please stop it, don't you see everyone are staring at us they are laughing." she's pushing him away.

They quickly stand up. He carrying her in arms and walk fast as they can and when they far away from the park they both laughed too much for the embarrassed they did. They both catching their breath for over laughing.

" I'm sorry but i have to go now. I almost forgot i have promise to meet my uncle after his lunch time." his voice a lil sad but having fun with her.

" Ok, I need to go home too to take more rest so my foot will be ok when i work tomorrow." she's pretending not sad to say goodbye to this guy. She want more to talk with him but she can't ask him to stay because it will be obvious that she like this guy.

" by the way can i get your number? i want to call you later after my meeting just to know that you go home safe."his worried a little for her.

"sure,give me your phone". oh my god Rose what are you doing, your obviously like this guy. She's talking to herself in her mind. After she gave her number. She didn't ask his also number. she just want him to call her with surprised.

" Where do you live here? maybe i could drop you in a nearest bus station." he nicely asking her.

" No need. I just live here in Harley city near at my work." she act like she don't want but she really love it.

" really? wow! our place was very close I'm from the other street beside of Harley. What a coincidence right? and actually my uncle business is near in city of Harley so it means i can take you home. What do you think?." His more happy after she told where she live at.

" o~okay if that's what you want. Actually it's hard to walk. So, I'm not gonna say no." she's just pretending but she really want it.

" yes, then let's go now. Let me help you to walk. My car is near here." he carried her that makes them more comfy to each other.

When they both in the car way on her home, they are very quiet inside. Rose feeling a little not comfy with him inside the car, she just felt like his taking her somewhere and he will rape her. She secretly smile for over thinking negative about him.

" hey, your so quiet." he cracked the silence.

" nothing " she laughed a little like she just forcing herself to laugh.

" i can guess" he smile like he have bad intention to her.

She more scared now. " Hey, stop smiling like that your scaring me" .she frowning face again.

Denver over laughed at her. " see,i knew it you think i will take you somewhere and kill or raping you." he laughed again.

" of course not but you can't blame me because we just met today." she's trying to avoid her eyes to look at his face.

He laughed more " no but still it seems yes." he can't help himself not to laugh. " why would i do a such a thing like that? do i look rapist? or killer to you?". he still keep laughing.

" of course not." she's starting to annoyed. " okay you just look handsome killer, you happy now?" she's laughing a little while she irritating.

" wow! well i like your thought." he stop laughing and he stop over in the front of house with a gate " to be honest, i really want you to be mine " he talk very serious and his hand is trying to touch her face. " i want you Rose, you'll be mine today whether you like it or not if you try to pushed me away I'll make sure you will dead before the sunrise. " his eyes is look like she can't be alive.

She open the door of the car and she step out her right foot and wanted to scape. But Denver hold her arm and push her back inside.

" I'm just joking,you silly" he laughed so loud.

She slapped his arms many times because she was so scared.

"Damn you! Damn you! I really hate you" she's yelling him for making her scared.

" oucchh! stop it stop it." his trying to parried her slapping. " i said stop" he sounds like growling in anger that make her shocked.

They had a quiet moment after Denver yelled her very seriously. She don't even know how she will talk Denver after the shocking moment.

Denver took a deep breath " I'm sorry, i ~ i didn't mean it. I'm really really sorry" his sincerely apologizing to her.

" it's~ it's nothing. Don't mind it I'm not mad " she tried to smile but she still scared.

" I'll take you home now. " he starter the engine.

" actually, we're already here. You dropped me in the right house." she keep smiling and calm.

" really?are you so sure?" he tried to look outside and look the house. " ok then, I'll call you later. " he smiled back.

" okay, be safe on the road." she smile and step out the car. She's standing in front of her gate and waiting him to drive away.

" Rose, i hope you don't change". he look worried.

" of course not. Your getting late, I'll just wait your call. Be safe okay?" she keep talking calm.

" thank you, I'll go now. have a good rest ". he smile and drive away.

While watching him in far away she realized that it was her fault. Maybe her hands is too heavy and she hurt him.

" I'll just apologize when he call me." she smile and happy to get inside her home.
