(Chapter 4) The girl with the purple eyes

After a warm shower, Ivy was too tired. She just wanted to call it a day already. She fell asleep the moment she laid on the bed, unaware of what her date has to offer.

Elsewhere

Ian Ruiz, completely pissed, frustrated, impatient and on the brink of loosing self control and burn the whole condominium down. And why wouldn't he be pissed? His younger brother took over his 30% shares from the family business while he was out there partying with his friends and actually taking a day off.

Ian has to stop running away from his problems and just once acknowledge his responsibilities, after all he's the heir of the Ruiz family.

He's always been taught to have total control over his emotions which created a sense of paranoia and damage beyond repair.

He was raging, probably because he didn't expect his brother to actually go behind his back and trick him to get half of his shares. He drove to the nearest club and drank like a fish to take the edge off.

Ian turned around, ready to leave, but at that moment, his eyes were drawn to a beautiful teenage girl dancing on top of the table.

Her perfectly curled jet black hair was a mess and there were bruises on her skin. She was tall, slim, and had very dark purple eyes. Her skin was fair like porcelain. With a figure so smooth and accentuated, she looked completely flawless.

That oversized black t-shirt with black shorts didn't make her seem decadent at all. On the contrary, it added a luxurious temperament to her and made her look wild and arrogant.

She looked so happy, it was almost like she was imprisoned for years, like she was away and haven't felt this joy for a long time.

Bree's eyes felt his gaze and she muttered to herself, "Now who in the blue hell is that?"

Ian was awestruck. Not to mention that all boys would be attracted to her. Ian observed her as she took a seat and ordered herself a drink.

Seated behind the glass table, she was looking at her glass of whiskey neat with beautiful striking purple eyes, which he thought never existed in the first place.

Shooting a glance at him, she raised her hand to push her jet black hair back, showing her perfectly demon-like face.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer."

Even her voice was flawless; it was not too high and it was not too low. It had some exquisite features of a young brat- soft and magnetic.

She made even that most of ordinary gestures arrogant and domineering.

Ian was in shock, feeling that this young girl was new and maybe unaware of his status.

"You caught me there", Ian came closer. Stretching his hand to introduce himself, he said, "I'm Ian. Ian Ruiz"

"Okay, Ian Ian Ruiz. I'm Bree..", stretching her hand to shake hands with him, she stopped midway, and said, "..Germophobe"

With that being said, she retracted her hand back.

Bree Anton was the kind who would randomly isolate herself from everyone. But looking at Ian, she saw the word "handsome"

Ian was quite surprised, he realised she was new in town. He sat next to her, and asked, "What makes you drink alone?"

With lifting her eyebrows and tilting her head to one side, she said, "That makes you the 4th guy to say this."

Pointing at a man seated in the corner, she said, "You see that guy over there with an empty glass? He asked me the same question before I kicked his little ass away. And the other two guys who were smelling like ball sweat left a while ago. Probably, out of embarrassment."

"So you don't like company!"

"Oh I like company. I don't like men with lusty eyes asking me if I do head."

She had already been irritated hearing the same words over and over again. She wanted to have a meaningful deep conversation with someone witty and cool after spending the entire evening alone.

With a muffled laugh, Ian said confidently, "Well that's, ah-h definitely not what I intended to say."

Ian might be known as the richie-rich of town but for Bree he was nothing more than just a pretty face.

Bree said pretending to be interested, "Ouh. Shocker. Enlighten me"

"Here goes", Ian obviously could sense the impression he had on her. He wanted to regain his pride.

"You're shoes are pretty. It matches with you're irresistibly mesmerizing eyes perfectly"

Or at least he tried.

Bree narrowed her eyes momentarily. With great dissatisfaction she grumbled, "Really? That's all you got?"

She didn't expect anyone to entertain her but for a guy like Ian, he looked experienced in dealing with women.

She actually thought that he'll try his best to sweep her off her feet. She wanted to hurt his pride by humiliating his drunk ass. He seemed like he would do anything to gain his pride.

But Ian was way too drunk. He sighed helplessly and said, "Look I'm totally buzzed, okay? I've been here, the whole evening. Can you not limit you're expectations for this handsome face?"

Moreover, he never really had to do any sweet talking to get a girl. Because of his popularity, most girls would approach him first. Some of them even try to be hard to get, but eventually end up being every other thing that he left behind.
