Possible Future Foresight

"well done my daughter. You are just as gifted at turning these humans as I was when I was your age". My mother said as she stood up from my bed. "Oh yes; and also your father has requested that you go on your first mission with this new minion of yours right away.

You will find your private ship in the family hangar, and it is already locked in for the mission that you will be doing".

"Can you tell me anything about this mission in particular before I make it to my new ship?" I asked her as I walk towards my door.

"The only thing I can tell you is that it was a very unique request".

"Really what do you mean by a very unique request. I thought our family only handled assassinations?". I asked my mother out of confusion as to of why I would be requested to do such a unique quest that would not normally fall within our families jurisdiction of missions.

"Yes it is a slightly odd request because it is not just purely to assassinate a single target or a group of people.

We have been requested to kill any non undead people that would want to get their hands on a unique artifact that has been reported to be found within a set of ruins of The Ozdronian Dynasty".

"Okay; I can see what you mean buy a very unique request. We do not want any of the other races too be able to get ahead of us in technology or any possible agricultural breakthroughs as a result of being the one that gets to claim these artifacts that are frequently found in the ruins of the ancient race that has been dead for over 500 years".

"Yes so you see why we have been chosen for this mission. Your father and grandfather both seem to believe that you would serve our family proudly on this mission".

"Yes mother I will serve our family but the utmost pride behind every decision that I make on this mission". I told her as she left the room.

"Master can I assist you in any way now that we are alone?" The elderly female that was now my first turned vampire underling asked me when my mother left the room.

"Yes I want you to go and check on the shift that I have been given to fulfill my assassination missions".

"Yes master I will go and serve you". Said to me as she bowed to me and then back to her way out of the room.

I then made my way to my bed and decided to sit in a cross-legged position at the edge of it while thinking about what kind of missions I would have to undergo for my family if I was to keep myself from becoming an exile.

As the only child of the family I would have to probably undergo crazy missions that my father or grandfather did not wish to cover.

Even though they were the head of our house every person of our race had to answer to the undead council.

This council consisted of one member of each of the races including the only zombie or skeleton that actually had free will. The council was headed by The Thrane.

The Thrane was a pure-blooded vampire that proved to be the most powerful being in our race by somehow being able to cycle through all of the different types of secondary vision at will.

This was a big deal because normally each household only had one type of vision that they were allowed to access, and every child might have a slight different variant of the same type of secondary vision.

I then pressed a button that allowed me to see a section of my wall rotate and from the inside of it came a tray of it contained a light blue liquid.

The liquid was refined Paradisus. I wanted to drink one of these cups so that I could see what was possibly in store for me on this mission.

As I grabbed the cup and took a sip I felt a rush of energy envelope my body, and it slowly become absorbed in my skin which caused the area around me to fade away and something else slowly took its place.

The area around me was a large dome that only had one entrance in it; and I could see that I was the person that was entering into this room.

"You know that I am here to help you; and not to harm you right". I heard a male voice that caught my attention say to me.

I could not tell anything about him he was fuzzed out as if the vision was not clear enough to tell me exactly who it was that I was talking to.

"Well if I can trust you I will know in just a brief moment"I said as I saw myself walk towards a sculpture of a male vampire.

"Do you think that this artifact is going to be worth all of the trouble that we had to go through to get it?".

"In the end I really do not care as long as I get paid for my work". The mysterious male voice said to me.

Then everything started to fade away and I was located in my room once again.

"This mission is definitely going to be an interesting one; and I have a feeling that this will have a unique twist in my fate".

I then got out of my bed and made my way out of my family's house.

It did not take me long to make my way to the family hanger, and from that I was able to see a new and shiny ship.

It was a simple triangular vessel that was made out of an extra sturdy metal material with a pair of thrusters on both sides.

"Master I have a filled your request and read all the information that I needed to about your next mission. I have learned that you will be instructed to go to the planet of Zeta-XT3. This world is a unforgiving ice planet". My servant said to me after kneeling at me when she saw me at the ship.

"Good I am glad that you have gathered all of the data that we need for this mission".

I then walked to my ship in haste, and I noticed that she followed me staying a few inches behind me as I walked into my ship.

The inside of the ship was quite simply designed with only a piloting area in the front and to the left of the doorway there were two different bed areas one was the main room which was for me, and the room that was the left contained a set of six small beds and nothing more which told me that they were areas for my servants.

This ship was quite simply designed; but I could leave it to my father to be a cheapscape in the type of ship that he gave me.

I started my engines and piloted the ship towards its destination knowing that I would have a very interesting time on this ice planet if I was to meet that male vampire that seem to feel every corner of my thoughts.
