Chapter 18

I sigh to myself as Chara drags me inside her room, slaming the door closed. Looking around I notice that there was only one bed in the room, turning I saw something on her bedside table. Looking to be a Dragon carved from Obsidian.

"Why do you have a dragon carving on your table?" I ask, walking over to admire it. Its wings where folded in by its sides and it had its mouth open in a snarl. Chara walked over and smiled, looking at it fondly.

"It was a gift from a friend. It was quiet rare to carve something like this so perfectly from Obsidian. He made it just for me, because of my love of Dragons." She said, sitting down on her bed. Patting besides her for me to come sit down, I sat down watching as she turned to me.

"Now, you need to start to learn how to gather mana like a Dragon Tamer, its quiet easy to be honest. Just gather all the red orbs because your main element is fire. Once you do that just store it." She said, watching me.

"If you don't mind me asking, what is your main element?" I ask, closing my eyes, trying to do what she said. Sensing the orbs I reach out with my mind and grab all the red ones in the room. Feeling like I was overflowing with power I smile, trying to store it in my center.

"My main element is Darkness. Its really effective against most elements, Fire is one of its weaknesses surprisingly, light is a tie against dark and not many people use light magic, cause its mostly healing magic while dark magic is for posion and killing." She said, laughing.

I smile, focusing on storing all the fire energy I had collected. Imagining a huge room without Night I pushed all the energy into the room, closing an imaginary door. Sighing I sit back.

"I think I did it." I said, opening my eyes. I look over at Chara, watching as she inspects me.

"I think you did it as well, now store energy as much as you can from now on, every hour of the day, store all the fire element you can find, because you will need it when Night wakes up." she said, standing up and walking to her door. "Come now, we have to go feed you, you need your energy for what's to come." She said, laughing. I stand up from her bed and follow her to the kitchen to see Adenine.

Chara and I walk into the kitchen and walk up to Adenine. Knocking on the smooth cold metal I watch as she turns around and smiles.

"Welcome back Wolf, I haven't seen you in a few days and was starting to get worried!" She exclaimed inspecting me.

"Sorry Adenine, I was going through some stuff that was keeping me occupied. The usual if I may Adenine." I say, sadly.

"You have a familiar? Dragon's are rare to come by so how in the world did you, a first year, manage to bond with one??" She asked, looking at my jaw curiously. I stare at her before explaining about Night.

"Is that right? DarkStalker is a very old and powerful dragon. I'm surprised he would pick you for one of his sons." She said, filling up a plate with food for the two of us. Handing it to us she turns around and goes back to cooking.

"Thank you Adenine. Come on Chara." I said, turning and going to a table, sitting down I start eating the steak and potatoes, the potatoes were covered in some sort of gravy. Chara sat down besides me and dug into her food as well.

"This is really good, this is the first time I've eaten this planets food." She said, wonder filling her face. After we both finished we got up and gave our plates to Adenine.

"Thank you for the awesome food again Adenine." I said, smiling kindly. Just as I was about to turn around to leave I felt pain in my chest again. "Shit." I groaned, all but falling onto the ground.

"What's wrong Wolf!" Adenine exclaims, running out of the kitchen and to my side.

"Is it Night?" Chara asks, shock all over her face. I nod and try to release some of the energy I stored, failing I start shaking. "Imagine the door shrinking to a small hole and then imagine the hole is opened with nothing blocking it." She said, coming over to put her hands on my back, but her hands hesitated.

"What's wrong?" I whisper, feeling my strength start to leave me, I just release all the energy that I stored. Briming with energy I stand up, leaning on the counter.

"I can't touch you for some reason..." She said, shocked. Adenine goes to put her hand on my shoulder but her hand stops as well.

"I can't touch you either..." She said, straining against something between herself and me.

I sigh, and concentrate on gathering energy again, this time just keeping it and not storing it.

"Wolf come, lets take you to Master Zelen. I'm worried, this has never happened to someone before, its like somethings blocking us from touching you." Adenine says, worried. I stand up, nodding.

"Okay, I am fine now though, I gathered a lot of energy, can't store it so imma just keep it in my center." I said, walking towards the headmasters office. I could sense Chara staring at the back of my head. All of a sudden I hear her thoughts.

"That's not a good idea, he's gonna hurt himself really bad. I think his power is preventing anyone from getting close to him right now, because his aura is much too strong for someone to be near him without disintegrating." She thought, following behind me.
